Examples on how kids where taken from families. During WWII 60 million people died, of those 1.5 million were children. The war started in the year 1939 on september 1 and ended in 1945 on september 2. Â and many children were Millions of Jews where taken to taken away from families. Some of the children never got to say goodbye and only 20% of the kids were returned to their families. Very few families could afford to send their children to the country it because it cost $250. Kids would also be taken from their families and taken to work or concentration camps. In the book Stone in Water German soldiers stormed the movie theaters. They kidnaped Italian boys and put them on a trains and sent them to work camps. They had no chance to say anything to their families. Not even worn them they they were leaving. In conclusion WWII was a very hard time period for many people. Kids were taken from families, put on trains and some never saw their families again. Map of the Extermation Camps
It cost a lot of money to send you kids to work camps so only the wealthy kids got to go.
