Labor Camps During WWII Type to enter text1.5 million children died in WWII alone. On labor camp children would be taken away from their families to go work on labor camps where they would build building, runways etc. The labor camps in Europe during WWII had a negative impact on the region because children were taken away from their families, the population decreased, and trust in the axis power decreased. Children were torn apart from their families by the Nazi soldiers. Nazi soldiers would go into public places and take the children away from their families. They would make the children build buildings, runways, etc They would also make them do maintenance on these things. These children would have to do hard labor on little or no food and they would be worked until exhaustion.”Suddenly the lights went on. Roberto blinked against the brightness. Boys groaned and hooted in complaint. He joined in. the hoots mixed with screams. German soldiers marched down the aisle… The soldiers shouted at the stumbling crowd, they hit the boys leg with wooden batons. Someone finally understood and yelled in Venetian dialect to go in single file.” This quote shows that the boy are being taken away from their home by the German to go work at labor camps. The conditions in these camps were so bad that a lot of the children died of hunger and dehydration.

Labor camps where located all across Europe. In World War Two alone there where 40,000 camps established by the Nazis and Hitler.

The population decreased in the country's because the youth was taken away and most of them did not escape. The youth of most of these countries was taken away because of the Germans. Almost no one escaped these camps because the guards were armed with gun and if you tried to run away you would be shot on sight. The conditions were so horrible that even after the war was over so many children had already died. “He shouted in German-fast and harsh. Then he held out his pistol and shot one of the boys in the head.Red spray fanned out in front of the boy as he fell forward.People screamed. One of the other boys broke away and ran the soldier shot him in the back. Then he shot the third boy in the head.” This quote shows that the German soldiers were brutal and they would kill anyone that disobeyed. This lead to less trust in the axis power. The trust in the axis power decreased because they were taking away children that were on their side. They took away children from Italy whom they were allies with. The Germans convinced Italy to let them take their people away. Italy did not value its people because they were more valuable if they worked on the work camps. “A soldiers shouted at him-an Italian soldier. Thing could not go to badly now that Italian soldiers were here now too. Roberto moved toward the soldier in relief, but the soldier yelled and told Roberto to go with the crowed.” This quote shows that Italy is giving its people to the Germans who will mistreat them. This all affected Europe in a negative way during WWII. Labor camps had a massive effect on Europe and the war because families were being taken apart by the Nazis. Also the youth population decreased. And the axis power lost some of the people's trust. This is all because the Nazis had labor camps where they send children to go work and build things that would benefit them in the war. The population decreased because the children whom were taken away usually died before the war was over. Finally trust in the axis powers decreased because they took away their own people to go work and they had no choice what so ever. Could you imagine what these young children went through to stay alive in these horrid places in Germany.
