Slavery lasted since 1619 through SINCE 1619 1865 On 1619, in an american colony in Jamestown, virginia, the first african slaves were brought into the state to aid the production of tobacco. How terrible it would feel as you were made to do something or else you would be hurt physically, this is what slaves in America would have to go through every day of their lives from when they were bought by there new owners.

Slavery

Slavery SINCE 1619

Slavery was practiced throughout the American colonies in the 17th and 18th centuries, and African-American slaves helped build the economic foundations of the new nation. They kept people of the “colored” skin color and used them as building tools to found their nation. These people weren’t just workers, they were people and white people were treating them like garbage. Slavery was a terrible time in history, no matter what people think, they didn’t have equal lives like white people they were like pets of the “owners”.

People today still want slavery!

Slavery SINCE 1619

Slavery, as history knew it, was never, ever going to last in America due to the major amounts of opposers in the later years of slavery, this being said the slaves had no clue and they had to find a way out. They found a underground railroad, The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early-to-mid 19th century, and used by African-American slaves to escape into free states and Canada with the aid of abolitionists and allies who were sympathetic to their cause. This was a risky path but in the conditions they were living in wasn’t very healthy, and that was the only way out meaning they wanted to take it and some that did got out and when to the free states and canada.

Slavery SINCE 1619

Freedom wasn’t an option, every bit of suffering for these poor people. Even after the bill was signed to make slavery illegal, it wasn’t long until the, Jim Crow laws were introduced making it illegal for blacks, and whites to ride together and blacks go through separate doors and since then the african americans past what they have gone through, hope it won’t ever happen again.
