Why education is important? Education is important for everybody, whether they are learning new facts, skills, or trades. Having the opportunity to learn always benefits the individual. Over the past years, we have seen a focus on providing education to females all over the world, arguing that girls receive an education no less then men. However, if we take a step further, we can think about educating communities, specifically rural communities.

This Community Center is designed to serve a variety of users – including school groups, adult education initiatives, community groups, exhibition and museum, Co-working space, child care and Adult care.

Community Center is located on the western corridor along Mysore Road, within the urban radius, and from the outside it gives the impression of being one more house in the context. In a 24 acre lot, the program is resolved in Five floors, which is cutting at an angle to give a sloped roof. The Education Community Centre will serve the local community and allow to generate funds to continue the benefits of the building work. In addition, the building supports traditional workshops, which helps people using traditional techniques. Conceived as a simple and beautiful timber framed space, the building is designed to serve a variety of users – including school groups, adult education initiatives, community groups, Exhibition and museum, child care and Adult care.

Due to population growth and an increase in urban density and real estate prices, architects and urban planners have been pursuing alternatives for new spatial configurations in the cities. The multiplication of shared space and workspaces is an example of how the field of architecture is adapting to new ways of living in society. Community CenterDesign is a mixed-use building containing co-working spaces, an event venue, a food hall, a café, and a rooftop terrace, Exhibition and museum, child care and Adult care.

“Urban Bloom is an experiment in urban space and activities taking precedent over

a design’s intention or infrastructure’s needs. The only need here was for freedom, and the intention is joy. Urban Bloom renews, and invigorates, urbanism in fact, the original location was a parking lot. Transformed into an ideal urban garden, and constructed entirely from artificial means, it is a project for a city that emphasizes people.”

b i n i t h v s @ i c lo u d . c o m

COMMUNITY CENTER This project is a responsive deigsn, which adapt and repond to the user needs. Also the façade of the building is adding a contemporary extension to create a focal point for the neighbouring park and a destination that will enhance the experience of the visitors also the users. However, how would the architecture marked by memories, techniques, aesthetics and rhythms become relevant to this location? How to deal with this site in which the current culture is modernized and abstains from any memory for a reproduced dream? How to intervene in a place marked by the manual work of agriculture and indigenous nature?

+

With these inquiries the project moves towards transformation, cultural rescue, encouragement of local constructive techniques, indigenous beauty and its knowledges, together with the construction of the notion of belonging, necessary for the development of the children

The 24 acre site for Community Center is located on the western corridor along Mysore Road, within the urban radius. where building is zoned into four parts with a Urban Plaza in the center, which is assesable in four directional ways.

The 24 acre site Is not only co-working and education facilities, but mixed-use buildings, flexible spaces, and temporary installations are also associated, each in its own way, with the idea of sharing spaces.

Since the scale of the urban area is quite big, we wanted the buildings to introduce an urban-friendly scale, meaning that the users will enjoy both the inner and outer piazza within the project, but also pedestrians would take the short-cut and stroll through the project while going somewhere else. This idea was one of the generators of the design, and led to planning of the two buildings around a protected courtyard, which also connects between the school on its north side and the exhibition to its south. The main entrance of the community center is slightly inwards. With large waterscape and multi-level green plant, it forms a public open landscape square and a shared space. Determine the basic shape with the crossing angles of the city roads and raise the building platform to indicate the presence of the building. Landscape is introduced to get close to nature.

WEST ELEVATION

The unevenly transparent vitreous blocks, corresponding to different functional place experience. The modern materials and processes, show a rich scene effect in the light and shadow. The identification of the building structure and components emphasizes the exquisite sense of space.

The unevenly transparent vitreous blocks, corresponding to different functional place experience. The modern materials and processes, show a rich scene effect in the light and shadow. The identification of the building structure and components emphasizes the exquisite and delicate sense of space. Between heaven and earth, you can enjoy the floating realm in light and shadow.

It is public and open urban space for different users. For such an urban architectural blending into the urban city life, we hope it reshapes a restrained, reserved and rich cultural space in the changing of time and space.

COMMUNITY CENTER

Its outstanding horizontality allows for a building front on the western side of the park and serves as a doorway between the urban context and the wide, natural space of the park. For public use, its architecture is open and clear, making transparency and permeability its greatest spatial qualities. In this same intermediate space, a natural slope that folds the surface of the park towards the building and a sloping roof creats a great viewpoint open to the landscape that amplifies from the inside the visual relations with the distant geography. The building takes advantage of the resources of the place, respects the greens and trees of the park and incorporates them into the interiors, natural light enters through its glass facades The building hosts several different functions, like get-together activities for the local community, shows and entertainment. It will be used for concerts, theatrical performances, conventions, conferences, art exhibitions and expos. The project is the amalgamation of urban, typical landscape and urban morphology to create a new language. The structure is characterized by a repeated pitched roof which draws a recognizable sign through the landscape.

Building is a future mixed-use developments, our goal is to create a structure as a new community core. It will serve for nearby residents and visitors in daily use and host events for special occasions. This new community center has five levels including a education center, daycare, a gym, various community amenity rooms, co-working and an art gallery. Stairs and elevators are used for circulation between levels.

Light and shadow interaction. The light and shadow interaction generated by walls, canopied walkway, water ripple reflection, and trees canopy during the day creates a rich sense of time. The genuine color and texture of the stone warm-up space and balances out with the green of the vegetation, the reflecting pool and the blue of the sky.
