CHILE:

One of the best traveler destination acording to The New York Times ENTERTAINMENT Chileans are known for their hospitality and creativity. Folklore and music go hand in hand with Chilean culture and traditions. The rich variety of foods and wines produced in each region to provide a unique flavor Chilean cuisine. Most gourmet dishes are prepared with local seafood found along its long coastline. The “Pisco” is the national liquor, often served with lemon juice “pisco sour” and wines of excellent quality.

5 GENERAL INFORMATION • Language: Spanish. • Currency: Chilean Peso. Credit cards are also accepted American • Express, Diners, Master Card and Visa. • Office Hours: 9:00 to 14:00 Banks Monday to Friday. Others schedules vary by city. • Museum: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-18:00. Sundays 10:00-13:00. Closed on Mondays. • Public Transport: There are regular flights to most cities across Lan Chile, there are also good bus services during the day and night to the north and south. In each city are taxis and “collective”. The groups have a preset path and can carry up to 4 other passengers. • Rent a Car: driving license and passport (for foreigners) is required. Most accept credit cards. • Precautions: It is recommended to drink bottled water. vegetables • and seafood should be eaten cooked. There are good hospitals and clinics in all cities. • Tips: restaurants and services, usually 10% of the total.

TOURISM The country is divided into 15 administrative regions, and the Metropolitan Region of Santiago. Each region has individual activities and tourist attractions. San Pedro de Atacama and Torres del Paine is probably best known destinations and visited by the Easter Island in the Pacific, but there are many other places like Area Grapes of Central District, city of La Serena and the Elqui Valley attracts those interested in astronomy, because it has one of the clearest skies on the planet.
