Dear McNamara Team & Family,
McNamara is off to a terrific start this fall! We began the 2022-2023 school year by welcoming a full Class of 2026, and we maintained a waitlist throughout the spring semester into the summer. Our freshman welcome is one of my favorite days of the year, and this year was no exception. The excitement was palpable as our newest Mustangs began to learn the ropes and start their journey toward becoming empowered leaders. We also held a wonderful Freshman Family Cookout, with special thanks to our Campus Ministry Team.
Our most recent graduating seniors are in school and digging deep into their studies. We are thrilled to already be receiving updates from them. (Check out the photo of Talib Reddick ‘22, already making a splash at Brown University!)
Additionally, we are making great progress on our La Reine Science & Innovation Center! While we had hoped to already be in the building, we are now looking forward to completion by the end of this calendar year. Our furniture is in, and soon enough students will be preparing to finally start classroom time in our newest addition! We cannot wait to see everyone at our Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, March 18th.
McNamara is a school and a community full of stories. Whether it’s a great story from a classroom lesson, stories from our recent alums as they visit on college breaks, or stories of accomplishment from our alumni community, we want to hear them all. We want to connect with you, and show you the story of McNamara today. It’s an incredible one, each and every day.
As you flip through the pages of this Messenger, please take a moment to not only see the stories within it, but also the resources. You’ll see our Counseling department, Fine Arts, Athletics, and how you can make a meaningful difference by supporting the school. As a community, we celebrate together, we tell stories together, we problem-solve together, and we support one another as we build our family and build the future. I hope you will consider supporting Bishop McNamara in whatever way is most meaningful to you.
I look forward to seeing everyone throughout the fall and holiday seasons. Thank you for being Bishop McNamara.
Sincerely,
Talib Reddick ‘22 Dr. John Barnhardt
