Editor’s note
A
s we headed into our 2nd Fall issue we wanted to concentrate on delivering a publication that people had come to admire over the last year but also keeping it creative and dynamic. In April we came up with the idea to maybe combine disciplines in such a way that everyone found it readable and enticing. We came up with the plan to include a special group of inspirational Equestrians who excelled beyond their peers and ask them what their secret is. Hence, the ICONIC issue was born. Once we started down the path, it didn’t stop at just exceedingly inspirational equestrians. The issue feathered out to powerhouse fashion brands, epic events, bucket list excursions, groundbreaking Architects, notable polo playing Vintners, supportive aftercares and success story horses. We hope you enjoy our first and probably not our last Iconic issue. Special thanks to everyone who joined in to help us gather the interviews we needed, our supportive readers, emerging clothing and equestrian brands for their support, and of course to our returning sponsor The Breeders’ Cup for their help in bringing this issue to the elite racing audience. So much gratitude to everyone. Cheers!
A big thanks to everyone! Shelli Wright & Christopher Bredesen Editors | Co-founders

compiled by EQluxe Hermès will forever be a label that combines chic utility and style to the highest level of fashionable acceptance. The A/W 2019 collection, Urban Rider, implements a jockey-inspired blouse featuring the Couvertures et Tenues de Jour scarf, a riding jacket, or a jacket whose buckle resembles a stirrup bar to create a crisp look. Cockades and equestrian browbands become part of the Hermès woman’s wardrobe “It has been said of Hermès,” The New York Times reported in 1940, “that it is perhaps the only establishment in the world in which one cannot buy a single article that is not in perfect taste.”
Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, who designs womenswear for the house prefers to define Hermès as
“classicism as a modern way of seeing life”
In the latest collection the designer has once again transported the codes of presences into the Hermès wardrobe with an obvious chic that will stand the test of time.
