International Mother Language Day and Harmony Day on the first weekend of March each year. Due to the unavailability of a suitable venue, that event could not be organised.

This year, so using the same fund, the Ethnic Schools Association of Queensland and Brisbane Bangla School celebrated CLS Day on 6th May with support from the Queensland Government and Community Languages Australia. The primary papers of the celebration of International Mother Day were Harmony Day and Community Languages School Day, which promote preserving the mother language and culture. For a vibrant multicultural Australia, the event was very well attended.

Dignitaries included, Shane Newman, Milton Dick MP, Jess Pugh MP and Umesh chandra OAM as some of the speakers, and the event was very well organised mainly to look at. All the youngsters coming in with the speech competitions, writing competitions and the display of multicultural are, you know, food and also the multicultural flavour of all the stage performances that way in there. So it is. It was a wonderful, fantastic event. And I would like to congratulate ESAQ and Brisbane Bangla School for holding this very fantastic event.

BRISBANe, APBA was officially launched in Brisbane City Hall; founding members got a chance to come on stage and introduce themselves, the launch was very well attended, and lord Mayor expressed his appreciation for the organisation for the Vison of David Wu, who said “We are thrilled to announce that APBA Launch Night was a huge success! We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a memorable evening.

Seeing so many bright and innovative minds come together to celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation in our community was incredible.

We are excited about the future of APBA and the impact we can make together. We can't wait to continue this journey with all of you and see where it takes us. Thank you again for your support and for being part of this amazing community.”

The organisation will work with the three levels of Government and advocate and promote business opportunities in Brisbane.
