If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9
DeAR ReADeR,
My faith is firmly built on the solid Truth. Therefore, I am confident to write this short story. I am even compelled by the Truth to write. My personal experiences with the Truth has enriched my life. The Truth has shepherded me and shaped my destiny.
The Truth gives credibility to the witness - the writer. The witness desires to see the justice reign by the power and authority of the Truth.
The Truth gives power and authority for the Light (Knowledge) to expel the Darkness (Igno-rance).
The Truth is a source of life to all creation. The Truth is found in God alone. Jesus put it straight and sharp.
He said, “I am the Truth… I am the Way and I am the Life”.
Therefore Truth must be experienced by encountering a Person -
Jesus. You can encounter your Creator by learning to seek Him. Have an attitude of hu-mility and a bold confession your mouth.
We are exited to bring the greatest good news on this planet just for you! Our theme is to make God simple and personal. God is not an object or an image or imagination of human mind. God is a living and loving person. We find this
Today, let us look at a bold and clear statement made by Apostle Paul. He points out that function of your mouth and alignment of your heart can pro-duce an extraordinary miracle. The miracle of personal and intimate relation-ship with God. This is a worthwhile and very important matter to find out.
According to the world population data, there are 8 plus billion people on this planet. The Holy Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glorious standard”. And the wages of sin is death and eternal separation from God. That means we all are imperfect and people needing God’s perfect forgiveness and
Rajendra Prasad, the prolific writer and Author of “TEARS IN PARADISE”, former Town Clerk of Ba, Fiji, originally from a dusty, rustic rural village of Vaqia, Ba. He is frequently quoted in the article. Unlike academic writers, he wrote his book full of emotions, from his heart. No wonder, it gives the readers tears on beautifully articulated account of the suffering of our forebears.
2015, and succeeded with change in government in 2022, though they have not been acknowledged for this mammoth achievement of securing FIJI GIRMIT PUBLIC HOLIDAY..
Girmitiyas played their role and made the sacrifices, leaving a debt of gratitude upon us which we have failed to honour. Let us now join hands together with humility and respect to honour their mercy.
Each person has sinned either by rebelling against God or by ignoring His will. Sin means refusing to do God’s will or failing to do all that God wants. Sin separates from the knowledge and the relationship with our Creator. But the Good news is that God has dealt with our sins on the cross. He sent Jesus as a ‘Lamb of God’ to carry the sins of all humanity. Not just for one ethnic group or nationality but for the entire world’s sin has been destroyed on the cross.
But, for you to receive the gift of God’s forgiveness and friendship, you need to do your part. Your part must come as a sincere act of faith. This must be your decision of the heart; that you earnestly desire to connect with a real and living God. When you say or declare “Jesus is Lord” you are transferring your debts of sins and rebellion to the one who can wash you and make you as new person.
I implore Fiji Indians across the world and their descendants to commemorate the sacrifices of the pioneer generation with solemnity and sobriety on May 14 or around that date, paying homage to those who laid their lives on the altar of sacrifice. I urge religious, social and cultural organizations to undertake this mission at the community level annually and also appeal to individual families to offer prayers and recitals in their homes in memory of those whose lives were tragically lost.
Let us all Fiji Indian Girmitiya descendants mark 14 May as FIJI GITMIT REMEMBRANCE DAY, this year and every year.
