prelude.
Since being founded in 1978, BKV Group has lived up to our mission of “enriching lives and strengthening communities” – throughout the Twin Cities and outstate area. Locally, we are described as “the best kept secret in town” – not because of praise we often preclude ourselves from, but because of the steady amount of influential work we’ve completed, and our committed focus to achieving the highest level of client satisfaction possible.
The Midwest portfolio of BKV Group goes wide and deep over the past 40 years because as one of the very few “one stop shops” in Minnesota, we uniquely leverage a holistic set of services (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, engineering, and construction administration) to craft a depth of project experience within housing (market-rate, senior, student, affordable, creative reuse, and high-rise), government (municipal, county, state, police, fire, city hall, library, jails and courts), education, corporate, and commercial design.
Creatively, BKV Group’s design teams share knowledge across practice groups and geographies to create relevant and meaningful design solutions that allow our clients’ dreams to become a reality. Innovation and sustainability lie at the heart of what drives our company, creating notable and lasting projects.
When asked why our clients value BKV Group, they tell us: “It’s because you really care – about us, the project and our community. It’s the passion you bring to your work every day!”
our city.
As the ninth largest city in the nation and the third largest in Texas, Dallas is home to a high concentration of restaurants, shopping venues, eclectic and fun neighborhoods, and corporate headquarters including AT&T, Southwest Airlines, Neiman Marcus, ExxonMobil, and more.
Dallas has always been a destination; first, as a major intersection point for the railroad lines crossing through it, later the interstate highway system converging into downtown, and now as one of the largest and busiest airport hubs in the world. In leveraging its unique context, Dallas became a melting pot of cultures, religions, and lifestyles. Surprisingly, Dallas has the largest urban arts district in the country as well – complementing the passion for The Texas State Fair and ‘America’s Team,’ the Dallas Cowboys. You can see classic works from artists like Van Gogh and Picasso, impressive collections of historical and contemporary art from different parts of Asia, as well as fun and vibrant street art on almost every corner.
Home of the frozen margarita (you’re welcome), food and libations are a BIG deal in Big D. There is always something delicious to eat anywhere you go, including world-renowned barbecue, anything fried, Whataburger, and of course Tex-Mex, Tex-Mex, and more Tex-Mex. You can find your flavor in any one of the character-rich Central, East, and South neighborhoods or revitalized downtown area that tips it’s hat to the past, while remaining a commercial and cosmopolitan city of the future.
