LEARN TO CREATE IN 3D
REMAKE THE WORLD IN 3D BCA has created a distinctive 3D Printing curriculum which leads to a recognised qualification for a QCF Award in Additive Manufacturing. The whole world is talking about 3D printing. You and your students can now join the conversation through BCA industry recognised Awards. Take your students through real world 3D printing examples and projects. We have distilled thousands of hours of working with young people to create a simple and classroom ready 3D printing course focused on STEM. We provide: • Teacher training and support. • 3D templates for design, fashion, architecture, science and engineering. • Step-by-step guides through the entire design to manufacture process. • Multimedia learning content. • Free software options. • Plus support and live broadcasts from BCA experts. Equipment and supplies: If you already have a 3D printer. Perfect! You’re ready to go. Our curriculum is compatible with all major 3D printers.
If you don’t have a 3D printer. Don’t worry, you can still do the same projects as everyone else. BCA provides a 3D model upload and print facility. Submit your files online and we will 3D print a selection for your class. If you want to invest in a 3D printer at your school, we can also recommend a 3D machine from one of the major manufacturers, complete with training. Curriculum and course structure: At level 1, we introduce the basic principles of CAD and 3D printing before students design and 3D print their own creations. By Level 3, students will study the full range of Additive Manufacturing technologies including sintering and stereolithography, going beyond what’s possible with consumer grade 3D printers. Students will apply industry standard tools and software in challenging self-led research and design projects, supported by BCA.
