Tulips- classic elegant blooms to show perfect love

Love is in the air. The shortest and last month of winter creates a mood for love with hearts and cupids. In Blackhawk too, this holiday of love has arrived. I see constant reminders like pink and red heart print mugs at the coffee shop; red roses in the boutique windows; heart balloons, chocolates and cookies dotting the checkout lines of the grocery store; valentine paraphernalia decking up the shelves of the seasonal aisles in every home store; kids getting excited about valentines day celebrations at school with card, candy and craft exchange; romance movies lineup on tv; plus maybe a cheesy marriage proposal with a candlelight dinner.

Gerbera Daisy- this striking beautiful happy bloom is always a favorite to receive

We express love or romance with chocolates, meaningful cards, jewelry or just straight and simple from the heart with flowers: 100% calorie free, vegan and a perfect instant mood lifter. I love the centuries old, traditional way too, but I don’t mind the other goodies now and then. Flowers show you care, they brighten any room and turn a frown upside down. A beautiful colorful floral arrangement is worth a thousand words. Roses are not the only option. Flower shops are overflowing with lilies, tulips, carnations, orchids, peonies, daisies, buttercups and many more at this time of the year. So keep the love alive with flowers and get ready with red. To express deep feelings and undying love; pick pink. If you admire someone; say hello to yellow. If you feel cheery, chose orange for friendship. Hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Orchids- these exotic blooms symbolize love, beauty, luxury and strength

As an aspiring photographer, I have always loved taking beautiful photos of my friends and family, nature and travels. After having a fulfilling career in finance in New York, I moved to California in 2014 where my love for photography turned into an invigorating passion. Moving to gorgeous Blackhawk has further enriched and blossomed my love for the camera. I take my camera everywhere, regardless of how short the distance is. Knowing me, there is always a photo opportunity!
