Is Revival Your Destiny? Hearing from the Prophets Again Offered by Doug Blair, Kitchener ON, 2021

Sounds Like Lamentations Three

Partying in the prospects of revival Power hunting in alignment with God Seems presumptuous doesn't it? Seems shamefully odd? We who lust for gifts and recognition Teaching, teaching, near to Where we might drop.

God is saying, 'Just a moment Remember your origins Remember and repent...STOP. Yours is but a Beggar's lot, and gifted Yours is due to Me, and Me alone. Let your times be filled with thanksgiving Humbly know that you will share My Throne. All because I will it In My Majesty All because a Father loves His brood Stop this snorting, boasting Of some Destiny It is out of place my Children And so rude. Brokenness will bring The best I offer Just like Jeremiah, you knew the pit Yielded hearts and brilliant Holy Fire. I will be the only Cause of it.'

2

The Whole Deal. Always. Evermore.

We want to get a handle on you We feel we must try Our confidence, contentment Must strive to know why. Father-God Creator-Sustainer Judge and Caretaker If we could but rise to the Sky. Suspicions of Seasons When one trait or more Will rise to the surface Will come to the fore. But No, all in Oneness A juxtapose rare The One who will chasten The One who will care The One in whose Wrath The Mercy pulse beats.

3

The One in my closet The One on the streets. And such is the task As we come to know you. Forever as Current; forever as True. Forever as Father; whatever we do. So please God Almighty Just honour my quest To walk with you rightly To learn of your Best.

Amos and Conscience

I knew it was wrong Out there in desert winds I sensed your honour I knew of your love And also of your terror. The ewe would tend each tiny lamb Much like you The lion would roar and descend The sweetness would come Unto the sycamore. The scorching heat Would crackle. And water with the delicious sound Of its flowing Proved the greater of riches. Trips to market showed me The callous cheating The heartlessness 5

And the haunted eyes of the starving And the lonely. The perverted holy days Of the North Full of pomp and form Missing anything of mercy Or of honour Deserving of your wrath Then and now. We have seen the locust Drought and dearth. Lord will you stay your hand? Must you lay out that plummet Measuring Israel for the crash? Its crafted idols for the flames? How little you desire sacrifice Looking rather for sweetness of the heart And true reverence. Finding it so rarely. And they call me deluded, un-schooled An outsider 6

Dividing Between Flesh and Spirit, Joints and Marrow

Sharper than any two-edged sword I know no other choice That hits the mark in every case This Word that is God's voice. A love affair with Adam's race Made timeless to impart

As difficulties come and go We're drawn close to His heart. But life is tough, conditions rough And often scripture tests Will we hold on to His love song To prove His will is best? A testament, a will for sure Requiring a mournful death But Jesus saw the goal of it And offered His last breath. He only did what Father said He suffered bled expired. Still three days proved the depths of Faith The earth has long admired. We have a choice to persevere Or drift with common thought And Holy Spirit helps in all Through precious Word we sought. 8

Valley of Baca - July 01, 2021

Been through that Valley

And filled it with tears

The trials so disturbing

In formative years

Their cause oft surprising

Yes even from friends

But not to despair here

The Greatest Friend shown

As Shepherd Protector

And Guide richly known

9

He wiped off those tears

And turned them to pearl

To help others hurting

Best job in the world.

A job with surprises

And passions applied.

The reason for testing

The reason I cried.

Read Psalm 84
