Lapbooking and notebooking are great ways to organize, display, and keep a record of your child’s homeschool work while adding fun and creativity to research projects and topics. See what this popular format trend is all about in our latest homeschool video debuting in January called BOOKING IT! This program will be available on our Facebook page beginning January 21st. 2 / 

Tuesday January 26th, 2021 - 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Census Sense: Clues & Conundrums for Beginners
Using the federal censuses in researching our ancestors presents mysteries and puzzles because there is often more to understand about the census than we know. This presentation introduces the census as a source and demonstrates how to use it more effectively in our research. The presentation will also ask and answer beginning research questions that use the census as a basis for further research. This program will be presented via GoToMeeting. Please email Melissa at msmith@weatherfordtx.gov to receive the necessary link to attend virtually.

Meet The Staff In this month’s Meet the Staff, we are visiting Rachael Acree. Rachael is a self-proclaimed book nerd who loves helping people find their next binge read. She is approaching the completion of her MFA in Creative Writing and hopes to one day find one of her books on a library shelf. When she isn’t nose deep in a book she loves performing with Theatre Off the Square and attending Comic-Con.

Circulation Clerk
Her first literary love was C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia, followed quickly by Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. She loves the adventure and fantasy elements from both authors. It’s shaped her reading preferences from then on, including her most recent favorite series, The Lunar Chronicles, which she says is amazing because it’s fairy-tale princesses—in space!
