1st Thursday of the Month | 1:30 - 3 p.m. March 5th, April 2nd, and May 7th We’ve had some great Show & Tell events, and now let’s make it more interesting. Each month will have a theme. Remember both elements of the program in your presentation: “ Show” (an object or prop) and “Tell” (talk about it). Themes provide structure to the program and increase the fun for everyone! March 5 - Books April 2 - STEAM May 7 - Nature
Tuesday, April 28th | 6 - 8 p.m.
This spring event will complete the Backyard School series for homeschoolers. Nature projects for the whole family will be provided with an emphasis on popular topics for spring like flowers, birds, gardening and butterflies. Booklets with additional projects to try at home will also be available.

Thursday, May 28th | 6 - 8 p.m.
New to homeschooling or thinking about it for the next school year? Have questions on homeschooling in Texas and where to find resources? Librarian and longtime homeschool mom, Leah Flippin, presents this seminar each year for parents who are interested in starting or are in the early stages of teaching at home. Learning styles, teaching approaches, and helping students with learning differences are additional topics that will be discussed. 9
3rd Tuesday of the Month | 6 - 7:30 p.m.
The Needlework group is a great way to meet fellow crafters who enjoy crochet, embroidery, knitting, or any other type of hand work. Share ideas and hone skills. Open to all ages and skill levels. Just bring your own materials (yarn, needles/hooks).

Evening Book Club 3rd Thursday of the Month | 6 - 7:30 p.m. (complimentary copies of the books are available, while supplies last, at the book club meetings)
March 19th: Joining the ranks of Hidden Figures and In the Garden of Beasts, the incredible true story of the greatest codebreaking duo that ever lived, an American woman and her husband who invented the modern science of cryptology together and used it to confront the evils of their time, solving puzzles that unmasked Nazi spies and helped win World War II.
April 16th: August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid— but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face.

Come hang out and talk about what you are reading with fellow book lovers - no rules about what you read.

Handmade Card Class Tuesday, March 3rd | 1 - 3 p.m. / 6 - 8 p.m.
Come get crafty at the library and learn a new skill.
We provide the supplies and instructions, and as always, it’s free to attend. Come ready to learn and have some fun! The class is designed for adults ages 18 and older only, please. Each person attending must register individually. For this class, attendees will learn how to make beautiful handmade cards.
Genealogy for Newbies Thursday, March 12th | 1 - 2 p.m. Have you recently found yourself wanting to learn exactly where you came from? Do you have questions about who your ancestors were and where they lived? Maybe you’ve always wanted to “climb your family tree” but didn’t know where to start? Perhaps you’ve recently started this journey and are overwhelmed? If you have found yourself asking any of these questions, then this is the class for you! Subjects covered will include: • The journey begins with you • Family interviews • Local resources • Electronic resources • Bibliography for further research (Note: This class will not cover topics of interest to intermediate and advanced family historians)

Compete as a team of 1 - 6 players, ages 18 and up. Winning teams will earn prizes and advance to regional, multi-library bee (date and location TBD) to compete against other cities’ winners.

Basics of Vegetable Gardening – Presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service

Tuesday, March 31st | 1 - 3 p.m. / 6 - 8 p.m. Come get crafty at the library. Two open studio times are available for you to come use the library’s watercolor supplies: watercolor cakes in pans with aqua brushes, watercolor brush markers, and watercolor paper to create a watercolor masterpiece. You are also welcome to bring additional supplies of your own, if you choose. There is no charge for attending, and no instruction will be provided. Space and supplies are limited, so you must register at https://weatherfordpubliclibrarytx.eventbrite.com for the open studio time you are interested in attending. Decoupage Flower Pots Thursday, April 23rd 1 - 3 p.m. / 6 - 8 p.m.
Registration opens Thursday, April 9th at 9 a.m.
Introduction to Yoga Monday, May 11th 6:30 - 7:30 pm Presented by Shauna Casey, Certified RYT. All levels of yogis welcome. Join us for an hour long introductory class that will deliver a full body workout that promotes strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. For this class, each attendee will learn how to make decoupage glue, learn about different types of decoupage glue and what they can be used for, and will then make a decoupaged flower pot using patterned scrapbook paper.
