Process Achievements Focus
During my first IB HL Art course I had very little technique to create something unique. After looking through some resources like Pablo Picasso’s artwork such as cubism and abstract work I began to create new ideas and thoughts about what type of art I would rather focus on. My mother played a huge influence on my decision to focus more on cubism and abstract work because she also expresses her mood by painting realistic religious artwork as well. Although the type of art style my mother does is different from the type that I am interested in. I still find an interested in mixing both abstract and realistic work combined. My main focus is being able to express my personal thoughts and emotions through my work. Using cool and warm colors to express the mood and the images I see in mind and having the technique to express it on paper needs practice. When I am determine to draw something and give it my all it has to have a purpose. My over all theme this year was abuse and how emotion affects the way we feel and think about the pain others put us through. While using acrylic paint I was able to express my thoughts better than using soft pastels. I was able to distinguish what tools I work best with and allow me to succeed my full potential.
