The work an artist produces can highly reflect who they are as a person and their style is clearly visible. As for my artwork, I want it to be visually appealing and their meanings to be interpreted in any way possible by others. As a young artist, I’ve been influenced by my generation to create works that can relate to all types of people, stereotypically. There was a wide variety of media used, generally speaking mixed media. This kept my artwork interesting while using a wide variety of techniques to portray the works. The purpose for creating such works was to express the lives we live and try to influence others in a positive way as to why being yourself and living your own way is actually worth it. There wasn’t a long process to understand the theme that was going to be present throughout such works. Once there was an established theme, the artwork came along naturally and also fit with what artworks had already been produced. Throughout the process of creating such works, there were times when giving up was an option, but never done. Because I decided to use mixed media, there were boundaries I pushed, comfort zones that I moved out of, and began to explore. Such explorations made my pieces better; I had created works of art that I didn’t even think were possible. Epiphanies almost, they happened quite often when I was working, which enhanced my theme and my work all over, creating bigger and better pieces that are well-rounded and tied to my theme. I’m happy to present these works of art to you, whether they are what I consider great works of art and others not as much. My strengths and weaknesses are visible throughout the works of art presented here.
