I do my works because they make me feel comfortable and pleased with my results. I tend to get into my works whether I’m using soft pastels, graphite, or watercolors; and when I use either of these materials I let me mind and hand movements flow together as one. When a work is going well it’s a great feeling when a work is going well. I get that sense o accomplishment and I have not yet even completed the work. When I do finish a work that accomplished feeling triples. Really the only concerns I have are “will I be pleased with my results?” My media of choice is soft pastels. I admire how the colors seem to blend so flawlessly. What I like best about what I do is that my work unexplainably draws itself at times. I pick up a pastel and draw; I don’t think, just do. My end results are usually faces based on color theory combinations, warm and cool colors mostly. I seem to have a certain attraction to cool and warm colors that I cannot explain. When I say a piece has turned out very well is when I exceed my own limits. For example, I can only draw stick people I could only yet in a studio I end up doing a portrait in realism. I say it came out very well due to the fact that I may not believe that I could ever do such a thing again. Though I don’t I’ve ever been inspired by an artists in particular my work appears to be strongly inspired by popular visual cultural such as the shows I watch and video games I play. I still do not know what concept I would like my world to revolve around, but I feel comfortable about investigating further into human emotions and color theory.
