I feel that I have grown much as an artist this year, and my style has been developing more while still maintaining the some of the same characteristics and motifs like abstract lines and inverted chevrons. Towards the end of this year, I really began to go outside of my comfort zone with my experimentation with color an acrylic paints, compared to the time when I only used graphite and charcoal drawing pencils and the majority of my work was monochromatic. Much of my work was subconsciously inspired and I never really looked at other famous artist works of art and tried to replicate it with my own style since I always thought doing this was unoriginal and copying. I wanted to stay away from that and develop my style and try to develop my own original thoughts. Some of my works that I developed though my ideas and imagination were the Bailout Finger and the fire truck, the bailout finger being a life size arm with the labeled tax payers and its giving the bird, to wall street emphasizing the Americans taxpayers anger in bailing out banks were greedy and corrupt, the work expresses emotion quite well and I’m proud to say is one of my favorites. The other work called the fire truck has nothing to do with fire trucks it was simply an automatic drawing with done with red, silver, red coral, and black prisma colors, the idea and the concept that I put on paper was appeared as I was doodling in my work book then something in my mind clicked and I chose to create the piece. In conclusion after further observation from visiting art museums I’ve started to study the uses of color and techniques in other artists and work and I started to apply those in my work
