Ewen was a member of the Blenheim Municipal Band for 30 years and belonged to the airforce band. He played rugby for Moutere, representing Marlborough for four years and spent time on the then Marlborough Rugby Football Union becoming chairman and then president in 1986.
He says the discovery or findings about his family have provided ‘some peace of mind’ in putting together the family jigsaw.
