A styled photo shoot capturing the essence of spring in coastal Rhode Island

Ariana Cappalli of AMC Weddings has always been drawn to the warmth and vibrancy of spring flowers. With fresh blooms and Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year, Living Coral, as her muse, she styled this shoot to capture what a spring wedding feels like in coastal Rhode Island. “I wanted to showcase the start of wedding season in all its glory—this meant infusing an ocean setting with the life and colors of spring into every detail,” Cappalli explained. A wooden table set upon weathered docks overlooking the ocean was juxtaposed with modern ghost chairs. Soft pink chiffon centered down the length of the table created the perfect landscape for a lush display of blooming blossoms. Tiny cakes at each place setting completed the look. “When I draft a design plan for a wedding, I incorporate classic and unique elements to embody my overall aesthetic, this styled photo shoot did exactly that,” said Cappalli.

A vintage garden wedding bursting with flora and texture in the mountains of New Hampshire

Airy pastels. Sumptuous textures. Utterly romantic. Lea and Joshua celebrated their love with a magical wedding set in northern New Hampshire. They spent the year leading up to their wedding antiquing to bring their vintage garden ambiance to life through one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture and décor. As their collection grew, a whimsical color scheme developed. This dusty palette of blue, blush, and lilac was threaded through every element from fashion to food. Their floral designer, Apotheca, incorporated creamy orange and sandy brown into the design, adding dimension to the overall look. A rich blend of textural blooms and feathery branches created beautiful arrangements that were all unique, yet cohesive to the aesthetic. “Apotheca and Peppers made our day so beautiful. We brought a truck load of décor and furniture with a clear vision of how we wanted everything set up and they made it look better than we could have even imagined,” Lea reminisced.

Growing up as beach kids, Maura and Dan knew they wanted to be married in a coastal town. Newport holds a special place in Maura’s heart as her parents were married there 35 years ago. The Bohlin had everything they imagined, from sweeping ocean views to an open floor design. “We wanted a light-filled space where family and friends could gather inside or outside easily,” Maura described. The crisp white and classic blue color palette was inspired by Maura’s love of ginger jars. In the days leading up to her wedding Maura collected various styles and sizes so her floral designer, Sayles Livingston Design, could use them as vessels for creamy white flowers. A custom crest in light blue watercolor topped the stationery, welcome sign, and event lounge pillows, tying the theme together flawlessly and leaving them with a lasting memory of their favorite day. 31

Serene seaside hues evoked an effortlessly romantic vibe for this summer wedding at Regatta Place in Newport, R.I. When Steph and Sean started planning their wedding, they didn’t have a particular theme or color palette in mind. Their main focus was the actual celebration of their love for each other—the true romance of it all! As the details started coming together, they realized that a theme and color palette had developed organically, and it really reflected who they are as a couple: simply timeless. “We loved our venue, Regatta Place, and wanted to let the backdrop of Newport Harbor shine,” Steph raved. Steph was particular about her flower selection. She wanted pure white blooms that would really pop against dark greenery. The soft textures of peonies, hydrangeas, and garden roses evoked a serene seaside vibe that matched the venue beautifully.

The beautifully rustic landscape of Newport Vineyards inspired Sophie and Hunter to a have a relaxed, alfresco rehearsal dinner. Long wooden farm tables paired with wicker dining chairs were set under a canopy of twinkling lights, creating an intimate vibe on the patio. A blend of potted lavender plants and delicate wildflowers in wine bottles decorated the tables and served as fragrant keepsakes for their guests. Antique-inspired cobalt stemware and blue and white china place settings completed the look with vintage charm. Hand-painted watercolor menu cards not only informed guests of what they would be feasting on, but also where it was harvested. “Hunter and I share a love for food and worked with the chef to plan a wonderful farm-to-table experience using all locally sourced ingredients. Our favorite detail was the map on each menu displaying where the ingredients came from. They were even individualized with the guest’s name so it could be saved as a memento of the magical evening,” Sophie reminisced.

The early October date of Bethany and Jimmy’s wedding inspired their color palette. They wanted to emulate the autumn season, but not with traditional oranges and yellows. Instead, they captured the magic of the season through rich, crimson red, earthy green, and touches of soft blush to add depth to the palette. “My bridal bouquet and the gorgeous arrangements created by Michelle Jeanne Floral Design were my absolute favorite details. They coordinated perfectly with my groom’s tie from Aldo’s House of Formals,” Bethany described. A breathtaking blend of roses and dahlias sprinkled with thistles, violets, and elderberries, created arrangements lush with texture and color. The inherent opulence of the Bellevue Ballroom at Hotel Viking complemented the aesthetic, making even the smallest detail feel grand. The colors were carried throughout the design from fashion to flowers. Even the sweets stayed true to the design!

A boho wedding inspired by the beautiful wooded landscape at The Pavilion at Pinehills

Romance, rich autumnal colors, and a touch of boho style made Anne and Russ’ wedding what they had always dreamed of. The Pavilion at Pinehills Golf Club is known for its breathtaking landscape filled with soaring pine trees. With such a setting in mind, Anne knew right away they would be married there. “I loved the intimate atmosphere, the veranda overlooking the golf course, and the light-flooded reception space. The exposed wooden beams and beautiful chandeliers were also a favorite,” Anne described. Her wedding dress, a Made with Love gown from The White Dress by the Shore, truly captured the boho style she envisioned. The deep, saturated colors of autumn were reflected in the lush floral design and bridesmaids’ dresses. Even the invitation suite emulated the look and feel of the day. A collection of candlelit lanterns infused the space with warmth and romance; the perfect finishing touch to this very special day.

Hailing from Charleston, South Carolina, Lindsay and Kyle wanted to bring southern charm to the gilded mansions of Newport, RI. Erica Trombetti of Infinite Events helped make this wedding dream a reality by gathering the best of the best. “Our favorite detail was the escort card wall. We etched sketches of all the mansions in Newport which corresponded with the guests’ table location. These sketched escort cards were attached to a floral-covered boxwood hedge, creating a wow-factor décor piece on the terrace,” Trombetti, described. Dusty greens and bold white blossoms filled the grand ballroom at Rosecliff. Stoneblossom designed breathtaking floral spheres perched upon silver candelabras. Bursts of blue wildflowers completed the arrangements, tying in the soft blue linens perfectly. A grand dessert table served a variety of sweets that were almost too pretty to

Soft shades created a romantic, vintage ambiance at this summer wedding. Steph and Alex were married under a half moon trellis of greenery, overlooking vast rows of soon-to-be Christmas trees. This inherently romantic overlook was infused with love and nostalgia through blush flowers, vintage décor, and the culinary creations of Forks & Fingers. “The vintage furniture we used was sourced from flea markets along with Alex’s late grandmother’s antiques. Being able to include her furniture was very special for us. These pieces set the backdrop and added vintage flair,” Steph described. The open cloth tent was transformed into a cozy, haven of romance. A floral canopy hovered above the sweetheart table, placed in front of an antique mantel. They toasted with two specialty cocktails named after their puppy attendants to kick off the incredible evening.

Since she was a little girl, KC had dreamed of a beautiful summer wedding in a tent overlooking the water. When she and Will became engaged they knew Blithewold Mansion offered everything she had imagined; acres of breathtaking grounds with amazing sunset views on the bay. KC drew color inspiration for her wedding from the lush flower gardens that would be blooming in August. A palette of soft champagne, rosy pinks, and verdant greens brought the tent to life through billowy chiffon draping, textural flowers, and of course, the fashion worn by the beautiful bridal party. A massive boxwood hedge, designed by KC herself and constructed flawlessly by her planner, Adrienne of Ruffles & Tweed, held gold framed seating charts— a unique twist on traditional escort cards. “I created a mood board with paint chips and cutouts from different wedding magazines, including BLISS Celebrations. Walking into the reception that day and seeing how my vendors made it all come together was the coolest feeling” said KC.

Our vendors designed a palette we loved, which included hints of red; a lucky color in Chinese culture. They really captured the joyful vibe we wanted to create,” Megumi described. Every table featured a mix of beautiful high and low floral arrangements and blue tapers. The flowers varied from creamy yellow and soft coral to light blues and pinks. Red blooms were sprinkled throughout like little hidden treasures in every arrangement—even the cake!

Kacie and Patrick met when they were very young— spending summers at their grandparents’ beach houses right next door to one another. At the time of their wedding, Patrick was an officer in the Coast Guard. For Kacie and Patrick, the ocean is an important part of who they are as a couple and naturally inspired their nautical theme, and choice of venue. Gurney’s, with its pretty Pell Bridge views, was perfect. “I wanted the tent to feel romantic and elegant. I envisioned fabric swags with intertwined lights and beautiful hanging crystal chandeliers. Happily, Ryan Designs made my tent ambiance vision come to life,” Kacie described. In the tent, farm tables were placed together to create one long head table. Creamy shades of orange created a preppy-meetsseaside vibe for this styled photo shoot at the New England Aquarium. The New England Aquarium is much more than a place to discover sea creatures. With amazing harbor and skyline views that are visible from their event space, it is a unique, romantic space for weddings and other celebrations. The invitations, with a watercolor crest designed by The Paper Perfectionist, set the tone. Dove grey stripe linen covered the table overlooking the water; a subtle nod to the nautical nature of the venue. Modern gold stanchions held linear floral arrangements, creating a canopy of flowers over the table. Textural blooms ranging in intensity from soft creamsicle to deep persimmon, stood out against dark leafy greens. Sprigs of feathery white flowers completed the arrangement. The bride’s elegant gown paired with the groom’s sea blue suit complemented the floral design and overall aesthetic of the photo shoot flawlessly.

Kim and Brian grew up in areas of the country where they weren’t able to experience all the beauty autumn has to offer. They wanted their wedding to embrace the rich, vibrant colors of the season as well as Kim’s equestrian background. The Dome Ballroom at the Lenox Boston Hotel, with its creamy white walls and gilded accents, was the perfect place to make their wedding dreams come true. Guests’ tables were cloaked in deep green, micro-suede linens to embody the look of saddle blankets, while wooden cross-back chairs added a touch of rustic barn flair. Simply elegant, white floral arrangements completed the look. The head table featured an abundance of cascading blooms in sultry scarlet and barely-there-blush hues that matched Kim’s bouquet and the stationery flawlessly. “I loved how our flowers differed from those on guests’ tables and the bridal party’s bouquets and boutonnieres. This allowed us to use rich colors without it overwhelming the design,” said Kim. 57

Fiery foliage and hillside views paint the perfect picture for this wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn. Nestled within the rolling hillsides of Central Massachusetts, Zukas Hilltop Barn offers unparalleled views. Growing up in New England, Victoria had always dreamed of having a classic fall wedding during peak foliage season, making this rustic barn the perfect spot. “We kept our color palette neutral, with subtle autumn tones to complement the foliage and make Erik’s suit really stand out!” Victoria reminisced. A breathtaking sunset illuminated the foliage, casting an ethereal glow upon the idyllic gazebo where the ceremony was held. Soft orange roses complemented the color-rich landscape beautifully, while garnet dahlias added a sultry feel to Victoria’s bouquet. The reception tent was transformed into a sparkling autumn splendor with twinkle lights and soaring floral arrangements. Colorful branches of foliage completed the table décor with fall flair.

The Sablewood is located on 120 acres of diverse terrain in the Catskill Mountain region of New York. With breathtaking mountain views and two tranquil ponds, this beautiful venue feels like a peaceful retreat—especially in the autumn months. Owner, Lisa Shaul, gathered a talented team of vendors to design this sultry, boho-inspired photo shoot. “It was all about love and nature. Our upper pond is graced by an old willow tree and mountain views in every direction. This is a stunning photo site for our couples, and this year we are opening it up for ceremonies as well. Wedding guests will be transported up to this serene spot nestled in the hills; fully immersed in love, nature, and views of the Catskills,” said Shaul. Dark, moody blooms created bountiful bouquets that reflected the surrounding autumnal landscape. A weathered, floral-filled rowboat infused this romantic hideaway with intimacy and nostalgia. The hexagon ceremony backdrop completed this photo shoot with a dash of modernity. 61

A styled photo shoot starring Olive & Twist; the mobile bar service of Caper’s Catering Wild and free. Inspired by the laidback boho vibes of southern California, this styled photo shoot captured the atmosphere of romance of spontaneity. “We wanted it to feel like an elopement—as if our couple had just stopped on the side of the road for a picnic and champagne toast after being married,” photographer Ella Farrell described. With a mini wooden table and vintage rug packed, Penny Lane (the Volkswagen camper-turned-mobile-bar) hit the road to a quaint little farm where the prettiest picnic would soon unfold. Garlands of fresh greenery adorned every surface of the vintage vehicle from the convertible roof to the wheel wells. Wine-hued blooms were peppered throughout the design—a subtle nod to the craft cocktail menu created by the mixologists of Olive & Twist. A macramé table runner and plush pillows completed the bohemian look with a dash of coziness.

The Ballroom at ProvidenceG is a magnificent blank canvas. Finished in pure white with soaring floor to ceiling windows and elegant chandeliers, it’s the perfect space to play with color. Deep berry tones mingled with black and gold created the moody vibe Bryce and Brett wanted for their winter wedding. The rest of the design was brought to life through a unique blend of florals, lighting, and textures. The head table featured a grey micro-suede linen topped with black place settings and mini arrangements of dark, exotic blooms. Guest tables were covered in pure white linen with gold flatware and lighter floral arrangements; striking a balance between dark and light while keeping the overall design cohesive. “The sleek and modern color palette we chose was a true reflection of our style. Our event planner Sarah, of Mavin House Events brought everything together beautifully,” Bryce reminisced.

Swirls of purple ombré petals led Christina and Joe down the aisle to a floral trellis where they would finally say, “I do.” With a vision of elegance and glamour in their minds, Christina and Joe chose shades of purple to create a stunning monochromatic look. Thousands of flowers, ranging in intensity from dusty lavender to vibrant violet, filled the ballroom at OceanCliff. Tall crystal vases made each arrangement look as if it were floating above the table. Even the bridal bouquet featured pops of purple amidst the cascade of creamy white orchids. Hints of shimmering details added depth and a dash of glam to complete the overall design. “The flowers were most definitely my favorite detail of the day. Our designer, Sayles Livingston, and her team went above and beyond.

AN ALL-WHITE WEDDING INSPIRED BY THE BRIDE’S FAVORITE COLOR AND MODERN AESTHETIC

Having an all-white wedding was very important to Susana so she commissioned the talents of Soraya Belgacem of SYB Event Planning to make her wedding dreams come true. “The bride loved white, greenery, and candlelight. I added touches of blush and gold accents to round out the design,” Belgacem described. The couple recited their vows under a breathtaking canopy of greenery and white hanging flowers. After the ceremony, the

head table was placed under the floral installation, creating a magical setting for dinner. Each table was beautifully decorated with a mix of high and low floral arrangements. Pops of champagne and gold were integrated into the design through modern place settings and candelabras. The night concluded with dinner and a magnificent cake that was topped with an edible castle as a subtle nod to their fairytale wedding and their venue.

Caitlin had always dreamed of a seaside wedding. Growing up, she spent many summers on the beaches of Maine and Cape Cod with her family—a tradition she’s continued with Tom while dating. Shining Tides, with its lush lawn, sweeping harbor views, and open-air dance floor, was everything they wanted in a venue and more. After learning this space is affiliated with the YMCA, an organization beloved by Caitlin’s late father, the couple was sold. The floral design, fashion,

and décor were all inspired by the rustic, seaside nature of Shining Tides. Bridesmaids wore soft pink and blue gowns in ethereal blossom prints to complement the organic floral design. Tables were dressed in airy chiffon topped with sprawling greens peppered with thistles, roses, and hydrangeas. Everything blended wonderfully with the natural beauty of the venue to achieve the seaside wedding that Caitlin and Tom had envisioned.

They just knew they wanted a fun and colorful summer wedding in a relaxed outdoor setting. “Vermont made it a destination wedding for most of our guests, so we chose to make it a weekend-long event starting with a welcome BBQ on Friday and ending with brunch on Sunday,” Caroline reminisced. Like their everlasting love for each other, Marc and Ashton wanted their wedding décor to evoke the same sentiment. Pink is inherently romantic and truly timeless, which is why they chose it to be the main color in their palette. Soft blush linens were juxtaposed with rose gold sequin linens for a touch of glam. Vivid pink roses were beautiful in the arrangements of creamy white hydrangeas, roses and mums. A mix of high and low floral spheres decorated every

The simplistic charm of Little Compton, R.I., was brought to Newport through the lovely floral aesthetic of Young Designs. “We knew we wanted our flowers from Young Designs as Mary has been going to the Young Family Farm every summer for over ten years. We had always admired the bouquets of dahlias that Hattie and Sarah Young would arrange at their parents’ farm even before they were established florists,” recalled Jessie. The trellis overlooking the ocean where Mary and Jessie recited their vows was beautifully

understated so as not to compete with the panoramic ocean views. Mary and Jessie chose dahlias and a vibrant mix of other local flowers for their reception tablescapes, but their bridal bouquets were a softer blend of dusty greens and yellow blossoms to reflect the surrounding landscape. Each table featured brushed gold goblets blooming with textural flowers in a range of vivid colors. Bright blue menu cards completed the look adding a playful pop of color that matched the bridesmaids’ gowns perfectly.

Tucked away on the cobblestoned streets of an old fishing village in New Bedford is the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Because of their mutual love for the ocean and the history surrounding this area, it was the perfect place for Kate and Josh to host their wedding. The vintage aesthetic of the museum and Kate’s love for clean, crisp colors inspired the wedding décor. Antique brass elements were used throughout the design as a nod to the weathered ships on exhibit.

Pure white and rich green floral arrangements popped against the walls of the event space. There was even a chandelier of fresh greens and twinkle lights, adding to the magical ambiance. “Our florist, Farrissey Floral Designs, was fantastic! She brought our vision to life with her gorgeous arrangements. It was also important to us to feed everyone well and Morin’s crushed it— people raved about the food and cake for weeks,” Kate recalled.

Peyton had a distinct vision for her wedding day. She wished for British colonial décor to reflect the aesthetic of her childhood home mixed with lots of tropical foliage to evoke a Caribbean feel. She called on the event planning talents of Festivities to find the vendors that would bring this vision to life. Bespoke Designs set the tone of the event with a breathtaking invitation suite. Peyton gave Shari, founder of Bespoke Designs, a painting by her father which

was then printed on the back of the invitations as a keepsake. The colors of the painting sparked the palette for the tent décor. Fifteen-foot tall palm trees anchored the plush seating in the lounge tent. Colorful area rugs added a sense of coziness to the tropicalmeets-traditional vibe. The design continued in the main tent with botanical foliage mixed with white flowers and a canopy of wicker lanterns that illuminated the dance floor.

LUSH GREENS TR ANSFORMED THIS LIGHT-FILLED URBAN BALLROOM INTO A TROPICAL OASIS.

Though Rane and Wesley were living in New England, nearly all of their guests had to travel to attend their Providence wedding. This simple fact is what sparked the tropical décor. They wanted their guests to feel like they were traveling to an exotic place while staying true to the culture of the area. “I asked myself, ‘what do I want people to think about our life in New England?’ I highlighted its diversity, urbanity, attitude, history, and classic elegance, because those are things that have influenced who we

are as a couple,” Rane described. Sustainability was at top of mind during the design process and affected many choices from food to décor. They commissioned the culinary talents of Blackstone Caterers, a company that prides themselves on sourcing their provisions from local farms. Even the floral design was environmentally conscious. Every Boston fern that decorated the tables was potted so they could be distributed after the festivities as a living reminder of a magical day.

Abbie and Eric fully embraced the magic of the season for their classic winter wedding. They let snow and shimmering frostcovered branches inspire every design detail from décor to flowers to fashion. “We wanted it to look wintery without being an over-the-top winter wonderland. Rhodes on the Pawtuxet was the perfect spot to bring our vision to life. It’s classic with a touch of glamour. The event coordinator, Maggie, was a dream to work with,” Abbie raved. maid dresses were all a beautiful shade of icy blue. The floral design featured an abundance of winter greens with pinecones and white blooms intertwined to evoke a snowy vibe. Fallon and Omar fell in love with the grand architecture and grounds of Rosecliff. Fallon’s favorite color is red which made the color palette choice simple—black and white so the red would really be accentuated. The ceremony was held on the vast back lawn overlooking the ocean. With the sound of crashing waves in the background, Fallon and Omar recited their vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. The team at Planned to Perfection sought out the amazing

The floral designer really brought their vision to life,” said Christine Ellington of Planned to Perfection.

and Roy have a passion for traveling out west to explore Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. The ruggedly beautiful terrain of these western states, sparked their desire to throw a modern Midwest inspired wedding. “We also love to dine out, and knew food and drinks would be a very important part of our day. We wanted the bars to never have lines and food to be in abundance, and MAX Ultimate Food made it happen,” Kellene recounted. 1 The ceremony took place on the foliage-covered grounds of Roy’s childhood home. 2 Oversized antler chandeliers dripping in flora illuminated the dance floor. 3 Soft flowers and warm candlelight infused each table with coziness. 4 The magnificent antler Chuppah was designed and built by Roy’s father, Roy and Kellene, just one week before the wedding. 5 Exquisite Events Light & Decor created a luxe lounge complete with cowhide rugs and plush leather seating. 6 Cheese and charcuterie kicked off the feast. opposite: The tipi added a tribal feel to the design while giving guests a comfy reprieve from dancing.

been their special retreat from the hustle and bustle, making it the perfect place to host their dreamy wedding. Leila Ryan Events commissioned a team of talented vendors to ensure their vision came to life seamlessly. 1 An elegant floral wall with cascading greenery enticed guests to look for their table. 2 A monogrammed boxwood hedge was an idyllic backdrop to the luxe lounge area. 3 Kacey and Sean recited their vows in front of a floral trellis overlooking the ocean. 4 Candle-filled crystal orbs dangled from the table canopy adding a touch of whimsy to the dramatic floral design. 5 The epitome of true love, captured flawlessly. 6 His and her seating for the dashing duo. opposite: “The flowers truly set the stage for the entire wedding. spent many memorable days by the ocean with her late father. To keep him close to her on a day that she would remember forever, she and Roland celebrated their marriage overlooking the water. With only one style direction in mind, they released full design control to the talented team from SEMIA. “All we asked was for the ambiance to be a New England, ocean-centric wedding. It was perfect,” Kelsey reminisced. 1 Beautiful blues and a boho-style braid for floral designer extraordinaire, Semia Dunne. 2 Kelsey and Roland took a moment alone to dance to the sounds of the crashing waves in the bluffs. 3 Delicate details continued the seaside theme throughout the décor. 4 The head table, abounding with textural blooms, made a magnificent statement. 5 Vibrant blue larkspur was beautiful in a feathery fusion of fresh greens and pampas grass. 6 An escort card wall covered in greenery and textured flora set the vibe for the floral grandeur inside. opposite: Impeccable style and lots of love sparked these beautiful smiles. 123

With its quintessential coastal landscape and proximity to Iggy’s Boardwalk, Harbor Lights was the perfect venue to make it happen. “We had beautiful water views, clam cakes and chowder, Allie’s Donuts, and of course—Del’s Lemonade! For late night snacks we served NY System Wieners,” Mary-Rose reminisced. 1 The bridal party was dressed in serene sea hues, contrasting beautifully with Mary-Rose’s blush gown. 2 The team at Robin Hollow Farm designed floral arrangements in airy pastels with hints of scarlet. 3 A sweet buttercream cake was finished with eye-catching dahlias and fresh greenery. 4 Botanical watercolor invites reflected the overall aesthetic of the wedding. 5 The breezy summer day lent itself to the most photographic moments. 6 A floral garland added a garden-like feel to the space. opposite: “I loved the romantic pastel shades, rustic arrangements and greenery that Robin Hollow Farm put together.” Mary-Rose remarked.

has always held a special place in Addison’s heart. After taking Tyler to visit, he fell in love with the beauty of the landscape, and so began the beautiful process of planning their wedding. They chose soft, neutral colors with touches of rustic design elements to enhance the nature of the coastline. “Our wedding planner, Allison Wildes from Elegant Engagements of Cape Cod, was an absolute dream. Tyler and I explained our vision, and she executed it perfectly. It was such a relief to have her team offer suggestions around logistics we would have never thought about,” said Addison. 1 Abundant floral urns created a magical backdrop for their first kiss as husband and wife. 2 The Chocolate Rose designed a simply chic white cake. 3 Soft blue bridesmaid gowns complemented the ocean setting perfectly. 4 Watercolor invitations set the tone for the day. 5 Antique gold goblets overflowed with soft pink roses and fresh greens, artfully arranged by Lilacs. 6 Warm lighting created an ethereal ambiance in the tent. opposite: Geometric chandeliers blurred the lines between rustic and modern style.

been in the wedding cake industry for nearly seven years, Callan wanted her special day to be as beautiful as the weddings she has seen over the years but unique to her aesthetic as well. She always imagined marrying her high school sweetheart, Erickson, in an enchanting setting surrounded by loved ones—so their decision to marry just days before Christmas in a turn-of-the-century mansion was perfect. 1 As owner and cake designer of Sugar Therapy, Callan created twelve amazing cakes in a variety of sizes, flavors, and details for her guests to indulge in. 2 Callan’s ball gown glittered like fresh fallen snow, complementing the décor and sentiment of the day. 3 A waterfall of one thousand paper cranes, handmade by Callan as a nod to Erickson’s Japanese roots, cascaded over the mantle of the grand fireplace. 4 Winter greens mingled with tapers down the length of the table creating a warm, intimate vibe. 5 Artful arrangements of white flowers sprinkled with winter berries adorned every surface. 6 Wax-sealed invitations were a subtle nod to the historical grandeur of the mansion. opposite: Styled by Beth Chapman Styling + Consulting, the bridal party looked as magical as the day itself.

and Jimmy hosted two weddings to celebrate their love. The first was a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, rich with red flowers and décor to symbolize festivity and passion. Their second was a modern, American soiree. “For this celebration, we wanted the color theme to be clean, peaceful and elegant, so we chose white with touches of pink and green,” Candice described. 1 Long tables topped with textured linen and soaring floral arrangements evoked romance and grandeur. 2 A warm embrace after saying “I do” was captured flawlessly. 3 “The Chanler was peaceful, but also near the center of town where our friends could have fun. Newly renovated with bright colors and whimsical design elements, it was the perfect place for Haylee and Deepak to have their wedding. “With many guests traveling to attend, we needed a venue that was large enough to accommodate everyone and house them for the weekend. The Graduate Providence has the charm and character that we both love and it is right in our backyard,” Haylee described. 1 The perfect match in every sense of the word. 2 The sultry mix of light and dark florals inspired the rest of the design. 3 Liquid metallic gowns captured the vintage glam vibe inherent to the Graduate Providence. 4 Officially married and sealed with a kiss! 5 This sweet treat served as edible décor. opposite: Gilded accents and lush floral arrangements created a look of effortless elegance in the grand ballroom.

dating, Elaina and Christian spent a lot of time visiting museums and art galleries, reveling in their love for art. The Peabody Essex Museum had always been their favorite. In fact, Elaina’s first gift to Christian was a pair of Ansel Adams prints, purchased from the Peabody Essex Museum gift shop! They hang in their home now as a beautiful reminder of the love that bloomed and was celebrated by marriage in that very same spot a few years later. 1 Elaina chose a striking black & white color palette, for a clean, modern look. 2 Sea grass sprouting from each cake layer was a subtle nod to the coastal setting of the museum. 3 Elaina and Christian’s reception was the first event celebrated in the beautifully renovated Garden Atrium. 4 Natalia, Event Coordinator of PEM, spent time after hours showing the couple the best photo–op locations. 5 The pure white floral design complemented the minimalist aesthetic of the Atrium. 6 Their love for art and each other, captured in a single photo. opposite: “We’re so happy to be a part of the museum’s history as the first wedding in that space,” recalled Elaina.

Celia St. Onge of CB Designs worked closely with lighting extraordinaire Griffin & Griffin to bring this couple’s vision to life. “I love Griffin & Griffin. The lighting was amazing, and they hung my lattice of greens above the head table. The woven hanging lights, worn oriental rugs, custom furniture, florals and taper candles all reflected the boho-vibe. The bride wanted everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed,” explained St. Onge. 1 A variety of refreshing summer cocktails were served. 2 The docks offered a quiet reprieve for secret smooches. 3 A grand display of warm, twinkling lights illuminated the clear tent. 4 An elegant blend of tapers and flower-filled greenery romanced every table. 5 Whimsical, paper lights danced in the breeze above the lounging deck. 6 Wild and wispy bouquets exemplify boho style. opposite: The clear tent provided unobstructed ocean views while rich greens and family-style farm tables created an ultra-cozy vibe.

and Jonathan wanted a wedding that was elaborate in design, but romantic in mood. They chose a bold, glittery palette of red and gold with lots of roses to honor the event design aesthetic of Antonio’s late mother. With the guidance of Michael Marcoux, they found the talent that brought their vision to life with magnificence and grandeur. 1 The head table captured the theme of the night through sequin linen, a red rose floral runner, and old-world candelabras. 2 A soaring six-tier cake left guests in awe of its beauty and size. 3 The custom boxwood hedge was a perfect spot to steal a smooch and snap a shot. 4 An abundance of red flora and a massive twinkling tree added romance to the opulent architecture. 5 Classic New England fare was served by Russell Morin Catering & Events. 6 Orbs of lush red blooms looked as if they were floating above each guest table. opposite: “Sayles Livingston Design exceeded expectations with florals that fit our vision and the venue perfectly”, said Antonio.

They wanted a venue that felt intimate, elegant, and was dog friendly. “When we visited Linden Place, we knew it was perfect. Imagine gingham dancing playfully among festive florals and delightful patterns, while vivid colors of fuchsia and coral mingled with verdant greens and touches of sunny yellow. It was summer in Newport, RI and this styled photo shoot truly embraced the design team’s playful aesthetic while also complementing the lovely ocean side location. The Eisenhower House sits on the vast lawn of Fort Adams State Park overlooking the harbor. This historical landmark inspired the idea to include vintage décor as a nod to its rich past. Antique parasols and a weathered bicycle were among some of the design elements that blended perfectly with the cheerful, modern palette. Fashion stylist and owner, Beth Chapman of The White Dress by the Shore, fashioned classic preppy looks that introduced additional colors and prints to the mix. “I dressed the bride in a tailored Carolina Herrera gown and the bridesmaids in bright dresses from Lula Kate. They played beautifully off of the fanciful Lily Pulitzer flower girl prints and seersucker suit worn by the ring bearer. I gave Aldo Segama, of Aldo’s House of Formals the challenge of finding a pink jacket for our groom to complete the look and he delivered with flying colors,” Beth described. All the imagined elements of this photo shoot came together to inspire a day filled with pure eye-candy.

An imaginative spring wedding captured the rich history of the estate through soft watercolors,

lush flowers and a touch of whimsy. As the talented team of wedding professionals set out to find inspiration, they stumbled upon a grand mural that left them awestruck. This mural, painted by the very first owner of the estate, is what inspired the lighthearted palette of watercolor pastels. The landscape and gardens blurred the lines between tradition and playfulness. This unique juxtaposition was reflected through the floral design, fashion and décor. “We felt it was very important to honor the original owner and landscape architect of the estate, Horace Brown and Ellen Biddle Shipman. Their love for this estate is still very evident. the vision Once an old textile mill, the historic Hope Artiste Village is now a light-filled blank canvas just waiting to be transformed. Its weathered brick walls evoke a vintage, industrial vibe that was softened by feathery florals, luxe textures and a color palette of romantic neutrals. The dramatic contrast created an ethereal ambiance that was carried out through every detail of this styled photo shoot, from décor to food to fashion. Love Bird Bridal Shop curated a collection of gowns that complemented the color palette while adding a touch of bohemian style to the mix. A floral crown and arm cuff were just the right accessories to complete each boho-inspired look. The feathery floral design was achieved with pampas grass and the amazing talent of Michelle Jeanne Floral Design. “I’m always inspired by the beauty of the bloom itself. The blush pampas grass was the perfect texture to achieve the desired look,” Michelle described. A delicate mix of creamy white and blush roses, peonies, and orchids rounded out the design with a hint of structure.

These natural elements that awaken the senses inspired the vision for this intimate dinner, set in the woodlands of Cape Cod. â&#x20AC;&#x153;I have walked these woods for thirty years and realized the beauty of fallen trees, moss-covered tree trunks, and weathered paths. It is truly magical. I imagined a polished, wood table in the clearing with opulent accents to juxtapose the wild nature of the setting,â&#x20AC;? Karen Taddei of Lilacs described. Taddeiâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s image was brought to life through her lush floral design, the warmth of vintage velvet seating, and creative comfort food from The Casual Gourmet that tantalized the taste buds. The color palette stayed true to the surrounding landscape. Pops of pink, peach, and white added dimension to a base of deeply saturated greens and rusty reds. Every design element harmonized flawlessly with the setting, achieving the enchanting ambiance desired.
