FAMILY & MWR TRAINING

There are more than 900 employees who make Fort Bliss Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) the best organization in the Army.

Each person serves a crucial purpose in the overall mission of taking care of the morale, welfare and recreation of Soldiers and their Families. That’s why it is a priority that all new employees in-processing to this organization take the in-person, “Welcome to Fort Bliss Family and MWR Team Member Orientation.”

Team Member Orientation (TMO) is a full day class for new employees to get a better understanding and knowledge of the organization. New employees vary from retirees, veterans, spouses, family members and/or civilians.

During TMO, employees get their feet wet with icebreakers, team up in groups and learn the breakdown of what MWR is as an organization.

MWR is made up of five divisions; Army Community Service (ACS),

It is important Business Operations Division (BOD), Child & Youth Services that new (CYS), Community Recreation employees Division (CRD) and Financial Management. Each TMO class is understand how usually a good mix of employees from all five divisions. the mission, The main objective for all new vision and Army employees is to relate how Family and MWR impacts the lives of

Values tie into Soldiers and their Families. It is MWR programs ... important that new employees understand how the mission, vision and Army Values tie into MWR programs that are offered. They take a bus trip through Fort Bliss to see where MWR facilities are located and are later briefed about their benefits with Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) Human Resources. They are also introduced and welcomed by the Directors and Division Chiefs of MWR. The biggest goal of TMO is all new employees leave with a knowledge and understanding of our great organization!
