Dining ‘Al Fresco’

This is such an exciting time of the year, because it is a great opportunity to enjoy summer evenings in a cool outdoor dining space. Who doesn’t love to relax while having food or drinks on a nice outdoor patio? Personally, I enjoy fresh air, casual style and summer ambiance, so dining outdoors is a perfect setting for me to unwind.

If you are searching for amazing food and a place that offers patio seating, look no further than Samuel Adams Pub located inside the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center. I have recently visited the pub with my husband, and we had such a wonderful time!

When you step outside to the patio, you get to admire a gorgeous view of the Franklin Mountains. I admit I enjoy this view a lot, it always makes me feel energized. The pub’s menu includes food inspired by Sam Adams beer-infused recipes. You will find a selection of tasty starters to include wings, fried pickles or

loaded nachos. There is also a variety of sandwiches and flat breads to choose from to your liking.

If you fancy seafood, you will satisfy your craving with a few seafood options on the menu. Fitness enthusiasts will be happy to know that there is a choice of green salads.

We tried out some dishes, and I admit that my absolute favorite is the Adam’s Burger, unquestionably the star of the menu. Nothing tastes better than a juicy beef patty between a bun with extra fixings and a nice cold drink on a warm summer evening, simple yet delicious. My husband enjoyed spicy wings served with your choice of sauce. On another visit, I tried the beer-battered cod fish served with homemade tartar sauce. It was delicious! I devoured it with much pleasure. Sam Adams Pub offers a great food experience, and with a delicious menu, friendly staff and a nice casual ambiance. My husband and I found ourselves planning our next night out before we even finished our drinks. This pub is a good place for a laid back dinner with friends or dressed-up date night. Having travelled to many places in Europe, I have always enjoyed eating on an outdoor patio. Therefore, I was thrilled to find out that there is such a cool and pleasant hangout spot here on Fort Bliss. This inviting patio provides a perfect backdrop for events or functions, too! You will be delighted to know, the Sam Adams’ pub hosts, Yappy Hour, a free monthly themed-event. Friendly dogs and their owners are invited to come and socialize over a brew while pups mingle over treats and toys, it’s like a small “pawty.” What’s not to like about that? So, make sure to mark your calendar for the upcoming dates on July 15, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16, and do not miss the “pawty.” If you are looking for a breezy outdoor place to dine where Mother Nature provides its own atmosphere and great views, or if you prefer to dine indoors and experience an authentic pub atmosphere, Samuel Adams is your spot. I found the pub to be a quiet place to cool down and have a nice dinner amid my daily busy schedule. If you do decide to just try it, make sure to check out current safety protocols to keep yourself, as well as those around you, healthy and safe.
