5 Motivational Tips from Blitz barz to Stay Fit and Self Motivated in Life

Self-motivation is an essential necessity in life. It is the ability to do things without persuasion or motivation from other people. To be self-motivated, you need to develop the right attitude.

5 tips to help you develop the right attitude to stay self-motivated always. 1. TALK LESS ABOUT PEOPLE: Have you ever caught yourself engaging in

cheap chitchat and small talk? Talking endlessly about people? Gossiping? A gossip is a conversation about other people’s personal and private life affairs or even public life matter that may or may not be true

One of the reasons why people gossip is to single out someone and make him/her appear worthless to other people while making themselves look like saints. Surprisingly, gossiping doesn’t only hurt the person you’re talking about. It affects you. Gossiping is the thief of your time, inner energy, creativity, motivation, productivity… (Name it) and the generator of drama. Your mood depends on what you focus on and so is your motivation.

How can talking less about people help you stay self-motivated? It gives you the opportunity to think more and do more thereby, increasing your productivity. Helps you focus on what is necessary and important. Boosts creativity and motivation Saves your inner energy Prevents unnecessary energy draining drama

DERIVE YOUR SELF-ESTEEM FROM WITHIN AND NOT FROM THE OPINIONS OF PEOPLE: Sometimes, we fail to realize that our self-worth is not measured by external approval/the opinions of people and this can go a long way to lower your selfesteem. This is very common amongst people who hide their real personalities to make other people like and validate them (people-pleasers).

Most of the time, we unknowingly allow events, circumstances and experiences affect the way we see ourselves and as such, our self-worth decreases.

Maybe you grew up not meeting up with standards (in schools, families, peer groups, etc), seeking attention and seeking approval. This may result to the accommodation of negative thoughts and beliefs about yourself and leave you feeling worthless.

Your inner stability suffers every time you derive your self-esteem from external factors and as such, you lose self-motivation.

What to do instead?

Love yourself exactly the way you are. Appreciate yourself. Never allow external factors affect your thoughts and the way you see yourself. Forget perfection and stop criticizing yourself. Erase negative thoughts and think positive.

2. AVOID TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS: The people you surround yourself with

influences your lifestyle in one way or the other. You may not realize this but that’s reality. Negativity is like a contagious disease. It keeps spreading to anyone who makes direct or indirect contact with the host. Negative and toxic people are everywhere and anywhere. We have all had an encounter with them, once, twice, thrice, countless number of times in workplaces, schools, social events, etc. They always find a way to dominate and overrule and they tend to drain energy and life out of you.

Examples: The naysayers (pessimists): They tell you everything is impossible and try to talk you out of what you what to do even before you get started.

The complainers: They are always complaining about everything instead of doing something to make the situation better.

There are countless examples of negative people.

Avoid having toxic relationships and avoid negative people. They will drain motivation out of you. You don’t have to judge them. Just steer clear!

3. TIE YOURSELF TO A PURPOSE OR WORTHY GOAL NOT TO PEOPLE: Live purposefully with a sense of direction, have goals and targets that will always push and propel you forward. People walk in and out of our lives at any time and it’s going to be very disastrous if you tie yourself to people and they walk out of your life without coming back. People will fail you.

Reasons you should tie yourself to a goal(s) or to a purpose: Your purpose, your sense of direction will always motivate and propel you forward even when life hits you really hard.

Goals are driving forces that will always motivate and remind you of your desires.

Your goals help you unleash your potentials.

Goals give you clarity and help you determine what and what not to focus on.

They stop you from dabbling your way through life. Be it in schools, workplaces, personal lives or families.

4. ALWAYS BE POSITIVE: Positivity is like building bricks. It builds you up and helps you grow as an individual. It is one of the most important aspects of personal development.

How to be positive? Surround yourself with positivity.

Be optimistic and try to see things from a positive perspective.

Never forget the LAW OF SUBSTITUTION: It states that you can only hold one thought at a time, positive or negative. You can substitute negative with positive whenever you choose and vice versa.

Avoid anything negative.
