What is Bodybuilding from a Womens Perspective?
Bodybuilding has become one of the biggest trends in recent history. The dark spray tans, tiny suits, and being in the spotlight is becoming the goal of everyone and their mother, or at least that is what it seems like.
There is a lot more to bodybuilding than the average person sees. While scrolling through Instagram or many other forms of social media, it may seem like everyone is lean, famous, and a pro athlete.
The fitness industry has made it look as though you sign up for a competition and you will sign a contract the next day with a huge supplement company. When we take a closer look, we see that is not the case at all.
Bodybuilding for males and females is hard work, and usually takes years and many failures to figure out what works for your body. After quite a bit of research, the highest body fat percentage on stage (at a competition) was around 9%.

Being considered stage ready is not healthy and should not be considered a lifestyle look. Many people first starting out do not realize this and over do it in the gym. They end up getting tired. Tired of the workouts. Tired of the diet.
A coach, for those who do not know, is someone who a competitor sends pictures to once a week, send their weight to once a week, and usually talk to at least once a week. Most of the time, at least with the athletes I have talked to, the coach will text or email almost everyday and continue to change the athletes program from there.
Athletes also have an off-season or bulking season. This is the time of the year where they still have macros and a workout plan, but it is much different. Bulking is when the athlete takes a few months (sometimes longer) to build up their muscle mass. In conclusion, bodybuilding is an extreme sport. If you are thinking about getting into bodybuilding, I would recommend doing a lot of research. Find out what may work for your body. Visit the blog to know more about Bodybuilding.
