Jim Duffy
Born Glasgow
age 45
Other clubs (as player or manager) - Celtic, Morton, Partick, Falkirk, Airdrie,Hibs, Chelsea,(coach), Portsmouth
Jim Dufty was appointed as the manager of Dundee Footbal Club at the beginningg of July 2002. Jim returned to Dens for a second spellas manager, having led the club to the 1995 Coca Cola Cup Final.
The boss was a legendary player for the Dark Blues and would surely have won International caps had it not been for a plethora of defensive talent in Scotland in the mid 80's. He did win one Under 21 cap as an over age player, captaining his country to a win over Eire
Jim's playing career appeared to have ended when he picked up a serious knee injury in a match at lbrox in 1987, but he returned against the odds and had two more spells as a player at Dens.
This time last year Jim was lookingforward to a trip to Hampden Park for the Scottish Cup Final. Although he did not picka winners medal he certainly deserves one now for keeping the Dee's together throughout the tough times over the last six months.
