Annual Report

201

Dear Friends, Alongside: it’s a beautiful word. To be close to the side of, to be together and in cooperation with, to work side by side—alongside is how Blood:Water works best. As we partner with the heroes and grassroots organizations already at work in Africa, it’s your generous support that comes alongside us, moving us all the closer to a day when we will celebrate the end to the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa. While there is still much to accomplish, it’s with a great deal of gratitude and sense of encouragement that we offer this annual report to you. The work of 2013 strengthened the reach and effectiveness of seven African-led organizations dedicated to serving their communities with HIV/AIDS and water solutions. We saw 68 new water projects provide 16,200 people with safe water. Your generosity toward Sub-Saharan Africa throughout 2013 made this possible! We celebrate the good work of 2013 and anticipate a successful 2014. Joyfully,

Jena Lee Nardella, Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer
