The Brock Vietnamese Students Association - BVSA, is a non profit organization founded in 2018. Since then, the BVSA has promoted and preserved Vietnamese culture by hosting many different events during the school term: Orientation Week, Pho Night, International Week, Tet Holiday, Vietnam In Your Eyes, and Giving away free masks. As an Vietnamese Students Association of Brock University, BVSA mission to spread out the Vietnamese culture to Brock students and Niagara Community.

Tips for registering classes:
• Waking up for 9 am classes can be challenging in the Winter time • Don’t put too many gaps between classes in one day • For context credit: 1 full credit can replace 2 0.5 credit electives • Remember to have 1 2P elective • Look for important dates every year for the dates to register for courses • Search for ratemyprofessor to find reviews about professors from past students

A CORNER FOR VIET & INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS In this chapter, we would like to give you some information about the immigration topics and undergraduate admission requirements. 1: SOCIAL INSURANCE NUMBER ( SIN ) A SIN number is required for anyone that works and is paid in Canada. You are eligible for applying for a SIN number if you have: work permit or study permit that includes conditions allowing work.

3: CO-OP WORK PERMIT Some study programs include work experience as part of their curriculum. You can apply for a co-op or intern work permit if: • you have a valid study permit • work is required to complete your study program in Canada • you have a letter from your school that confirms all students in your program need to complete work placements to get their degree, and • your co-op placement or internship totals 50% or less of your study program

Intensive Academic English Language Program (IELP - Conditional Admission) • Completion of this program’s highest level (Level 5), satisfies the English Language Requirement for Brock’s undergraduate and graduate , that requires English Proficiency Test Scores (check the table above). • For more information, visit: brocku.ca/international/future/esl/ielp/ II.
