Organized in 1835, the Marshall Public School system began in a one-room schoolhouse with just a handful of students. The system grew quickly, however, and through the guidance of two community leaders, Rev. John D. Pierce and lawyer, Isaac E. Crary, it soon became the model for many school systems throughout the country. Today, the Marshall Public School system has a well educated and diverse faculty serving a robust population of students (over 2000) with an enriched and varied curriculum.
