Crossroads

All of the students placed in Montcalm have experienced some type of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Many of the families have attempted to seek alternative help in a less restrictive setting for their child, prior to placing at Montcalm.

Our philosophy We look for what's possible, not for what's wrong. For every perceived weakness, we see a strength. The belief in the goodness of every child forms the foundation of our strengthbased treatment approach. We use the power of a positive peer group to create an environment that encourages dignity, self-esteem and mutual support and respect. Our treatment teams utilize several modalities to assist our students in learning problem solving and decision making skills.
