A DAY IN THE COUNTRY LOGO The logo for A Day in the Country, featuring a mother and daughter on their mounts, was created by Ann Claiborne Pierce, mother of longstanding GRTA Board member Nancy Pierce Chapin. The logo embodies the spirit of A Day in the County, which for more than 60 years has been a family-oriented, fun show for riders and non-riders, young and the young at heart. Ann was active in the Greenwich equestrian community for decades as a rider, backyard barn owner, Pony Club official, and open space supporter. We miss her!

Dear Friends, This year we will be celebrating the 63rd Anniversary of A Day In The Country Horse Show. We hope that you will be able to join us, and please bring your friends. A Day in the Country Horse Show is more than a schooling show, it’s a family and friends event and a great opportunity to learn about the Greenwich Riding and Trails Association, tailgate and spectate, cheer for riders of all ages, and visit our horse-sized open air photo booth! We'll give awards to the best tailgate display and to the high point trainer of the show. This is not only a joyful community event but an opportunity to support a peaceful, good cause. The GRTA is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting green spaces in Greenwich, helping save honey bees, and maintaining a 94-acre nature preserve. There is no cost for admission, but for those who want to go the extra mile, we have many sponsors opportunities listed below. Thank you in advance for any and all support!
