BECOME A MEMBER TODAY! Blyth Festival Members are part of the financial engine that runs the organization. Contributions from individual donors directly support the exceptional repertoire of work brought to life on our stage each season. We rely on you to help us realize the artistic vision of our creative team as we continue to develop and promote professional theatre across Canada. When you donate to the Blyth Festival, your gift can be directed to the following areas: u Gifts to Operating directly support play production, including artist fees, wardrobe, props, carpentry, scenic art, lighting, and sound. u The Young Company offers area youth the opportunity to collectively develop and present a new work under professional direction. Gifts to the Young Company allow the Blyth Festival to present this rare opportunity at no cost to participants. Other youth programming includes drama workshops for children aged 5 to 12, scholarships to five local secondary schools, and a Theatre-forYoung-Audience production for elementary schools each fall. u A new play demands endless attention before it debuts on stage. Gifts to the Roulston Roy New Play Development help fund this process, and ensure that playwrights receive the necessary artistic support to prepare new scripts for fullfledged production at producing theatres. u Sheila Richards was a volunteer with Blyth Festival from 1978-1994. She was the President of the Board of Directors in 1979, 1980 and again in 1985. Sheila was a visionary in her insistence that money be raised to purchase items that would enhance our patron’s experience. It was from her passion, dedication and tireless work that the Sheila Richards Memorial Capital Fund was formed. Gifts donated to this fund will help carry on this tradition.
