Rain Gate

ROBERT TULLY

350 S. White St. Chamber of Commerce

Rain Gate is a bench sculpture that serves as an artistic gateway for pedestrians on the south end of Wake Forest’s downtown streetscape. Serving partially for bio-retention, the artwork has an additional function of celebrating the rainfall that contributes to making Wake Forest “green.” Whenever it rains, the gateway structure gathers enough water to be released slowly down an artistic rain chain for 11 hours or more with an average rainfall. 3 History of Wake Forest FRANKLIN ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL

306 S. White St. The Cotton Company

The outdoor mural was created by high school art students from Franklin Academy High School led by art teacher Jamie Moore and mural artist Kelly Sari.

Sewer Structure Art Project The Greenways Art Management Committee invites individuals and community groups to adopt an aboveground sewer structure and paint it with a colorful design. For information, visit wakeforestnc.gov, search ‘sewer structure art.’
