The Faculty Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) was founded in 1782 and became one of the largest higher educational institute in Central Europe with 24.000 students, 1200 professors and researchers. The University has an international reputation for excellence in engineering and consists if 8 faculties and 6 priority research areas. One of the priority areas is connected to vehicle, transportation, logistics related research. The aim of the Faculty of Transport Engineering and Vehicle Engineering is to become the scientific centre of the region in the field of vehicle technology, transportation systems, logistics processes and autonomous vehicle development. The task of the faculty is to provide valuable knowledge to its students, to pursue high level scientific activity, to collect experience through research and development activities, and to build reliable relationships with transport operators, vehicle manufacturing companies, logistics services providers and decision makers.
