Softball in BMHS Athletic Hall of Fame The following softball athletes, coaches, teams, and supporters are members of the BMHS Athletic Hall of Fame: Name (Year Inducted)

Patty Froehlich-Gasso ‘80 (2014) A 4-year varsity starter at shortstop, Patty was named team MVP as both a junior and a senior and was named 1st Team All-Angelus League both years as well. As a junior, she hit .333 and led the Lady Knights in runs scored, doubles, triples, RBI’s and stolen bases. She was second on the team in hits with 16. As a senior, she hit .250 and led the Lady Knights in triples and walks.

Coach Sharon King (2011) King is truly a pioneer in BMHS athletics, helping to establish many girls’ sports at Bishop Montgomery. She coached softball, girls’ basketball and girls’ tennis at BMHS from 19621977. She led softball team to an amazing 10 consecutive league championships.

Pattie Schnell ‘66 (2012) Pattie Schnell played varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball all four years at BMHS. She was the only female athlete at the time to play varsity in all sports all four years. She was named the 1966 Female Athlete of the Year and was the 1966 president of the Girls’ Athletic Association. At BMHS, she was a member of four softball league champions.
