WELCOME ALL! We are happy to extend a warm greeting to you on behalf of the 2021 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation! This year’s tournament will be memorable – not only because of the opportunity to enjoy world-class golf during these extraordinary times, but also because you will finish the week knowing it was all for the greater good. This year, our tournament will benefit six worthwhile local charities: Cancer Society of Greenville County, Cliffs Residents Outreach, Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute, Meyer Center for Special Children, Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, and Roper Mountain Science Center. In addition to directly raising funds for these life-changing organizations, the tournament raises awareness of each philanthropic mission – from feeding young minds to nourishing the bodies of the most vulnerable among us. As the only tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with professionals in a three-day, betterball competition over two courses, be prepared for a one-of-a-kind experience. We would like to use this opportunity to thank our sponsors for their instrumental support, as well as express our gratitude to the hundreds of hospitable volunteers and dedicated employees who will make your time with us outstanding. We hope you enjoy every moment. Welcome to the tournament!

DEAR GOLF FANS, On behalf of the Korn Ferry Tour, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX. The next generation of golf’s stars will be onsite this week at Thornblade Club and The Cliffs Valley, competing for a $700,000 purse while chasing their lifelong PGA TOUR dreams. As the Korn Ferry Tour continues its 31st season, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support during these unprecedented and reflective times. The past year has presented a tremendous challenge for our tournaments and our business, but golf has been triumphant in leading sports back in a safe and practical manner. Along with our players, partners and fans, we have shown that sports can be contested within this ever-changing landscape, providing entertainment and a sense of normalcy. While we were disappointed when the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the tournament in 2020, we are thrilled for the return of the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX in 2021. Greenville and the surrounding Upstate area is a tremendous golf hub and we are excited for the Korn Ferry Tour to continue the strong golf tradition in the region. With all 50 PGA TOUR cards annually awarded through the Korn Ferry Tour, we are the proving ground for golf’s next stars.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
We value our partnership with BMW and the Greenville community and their commitment to the Korn Ferry Tour, and we appreciate the ongoing support from Thornblade Golf Club, The Cliffs Valley, volunteers, fans and media for their commitment to make this tournament a huge success.

DEAR FRIENDS, Welcome to the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation. We are pleased to have two beautiful Upstate South Carolina golf courses hosting this event, which takes place June 10-13, 2021. The Cliffs Valley and Thornblade Club provide a beautiful setting for the 20th playing of this tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. We look forward to four exciting days as professional, celebrity, and amateur players hit the greens. We extend a warm welcome to those new to the tournament and to all returning participants. We are excited to share that all the action will once again be broadcast to a worldwide viewing audience on the Golf Channel. Since its inception in 2001, the tournament has donated almost $14 million in charitable giving. This year, the tournament will benefit six specific charities: the Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute, Cliffs Residents Outreach, Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, Cancer Society of Greenville County, Meyer Center for Special Children, and Roper Mountain Science Center. BMW is proud to call South Carolina home for over 25 years. Just as our BMW Associates share a passion for excellence in building premium quality vehicles, we are also proud of the charitable giving and impact this golf tournament continues to have on the local community. DEAR TOURNAMENT ATTENDEES, On behalf of SYNNEX Corporation, I am pleased to welcome you to the 2021 BMW Charity Pro-Am. I know you are as excited as I am to see all of the spectators, celebrities and players back on the course at this year’s tournament. As presenting sponsor for the past 10 years, the tournament is an integral part of our company story. Each year along with BMW, we enjoy hosting the players, celebrities, and spectators who visit Greenville for this great event. It’s a pleasure to show off the place we call home, including our thriving downtown, golf courses and clubs. It’s also fun being with so many locals who attend the tournament. But what’s most important about tournament week is the impact it has on our greater community. In 2021, this will include helping children suffering from illnesses, providing meals to homebound citizens, enabling children to succeed in school, and providing access to science education. SYNNEX is humbled to have played a part in the more than $13.7 million dollars raised since the tournament’s inception, and we look forward to seeing this number climb in the years ahead.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
Just as the BMW Charity Pro-Am is about more than golf, SYNNEX Corporation is about more than IT distribution. Our story is largely about getting involved in the communities we serve. And the tournament is just one of the many ways our more than 1,000 Greenville associates are able to give back.
10
We hope you have a great time enjoying the golf and meeting a few celebrities this week. And while you’re at it, we invite you to learn more about the tournament’s philanthropic impact. Remember, it’s never too late to find a small way you can give back to Greenville or whatever community you call home. We believe that together, everyone can make a difference. From all of us at SYNNEX, we hope you enjoy the tournament. Sincerely, Bob Stegner Senior Vice President, Marketing, North America, SYNNEX Corporation

CANCER SOCIETY OF GREENVILLE COUNTY MEET STEPHANIE Stephanie walked in the door of the Cancer Society of Greenville and was crying and trembling. She told us that she had just been diagnosed with cervical cancer. We learned that she was only 30 years old and that she was a single mom of 4 children. We talked about her treatment plan and I assured her that we would be with her every step of the way. She had been working but could not work as much due to having so many appointments, chemo, and radiation. We provided financial assistance to help pay for her rent and powerbills. We paid for her medicines and transportation to and from treatment. She was so grateful for the help, especially with her medications because she thought she would have to go without due to her inability to afford them. We immediately provided her with free Ensure to make sure she had the nutrients she needed to tolerate treatment. We also provided her with medical supplies, and disposable items to help with her cervical issues. We were with Stephanie throughout her journey. We got to know her children and when she could not afford things for them, we helped. We purchased back to school items, Christmas presents, etc. When Stephanie lost her hair, we provided wigs, turbans, and sleep caps. When cancer took more of a toll on her emotions, we provided free counseling.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
We experienced every up and down of the roller coaster ride that is cancer. She became like family. On the day she rang the last treatment bell at the hospital, she came to see us. She ran into our office so excited. She said out of all the people in her life, she wanted to celebrate with us. We all joined her in tears of joy.

CLIFFS RESIDENT OUTREACH Since 2007, Cliffs Residents Outreach (CRO), a 501(c), nonprofit corporation, has been committed to the mission of “Providing resources to regional children that promote opportunities for lifelong success.” While we support a wide variety of student programs, our focus centers on funding initiatives that relate to education and human services. CRO is comprised of five CRO Communities which represent the Cliffs’ South Carolina Communities of Glassy, Valley & Mt. Park, Keowee Vineyards, Keowee Falls & Keowee Springs. Representatives from each of these CRO Communities serve as Directors of the CRO Corporate Board. Each CRO Community has a volunteer Advisory Council which works independently to support the needs of their local schools through fundraising and volunteering, all aligning with one consistent mission – enabling Upstate children to succeed.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
The success of CRO is measured by the many benefits we have provided to our community school students. Through the generosity of our residents and community service partners, and the services of our committed volunteers, we have seen great things happen in our local schools.
26
COME FIRST Mission: To provide resources to regional children that promotes opportunities for lifelong success. Founded in 2007, CRO focuses on education and human services through literacy, nutrition and mentoring. CRO has raised over $5 million from residents and corporate partners in the last 10 years, benefiting these children. CRO spends less than 2% of revenue for overhead and less than 10% for fundraising. CRO volunteers tutor, mentor, provide crisis funding, technology, field trip sponsorship, nutrition through back pack programs, and parent programs at 2 early childhood centers, 8 elementary schools, 4 middle schools and 3 high schools and several non-profits who focus on improving the lives of children.

MEYER CENTER FOR SPECIAL CHILDREN MEET HART Hart is a happy four-year-old boy with the greatest laugh you have ever heard. He loves school, he loves chasing his big sister Elle, he loves to give big hugs and he loves music!. But the beginning days for Hart were not so bright. At 14 months old, Hart was diagnosed with a very rare genetic microdeletion syndrome. This meant that he is missing a large chunk of genes on his second chromosome and that he would face some serious challenges which would impact his growth and development. Hart did not take his first steps or swallow without aspirating until he was over 2 years old. He was sick all the time and had to endure countless tests, procedures and hospital stays.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
In the fall of 2019, Hart began attending The Meyer Center. He had found his place and he was ready. He was ready to make friends for the first time, learn in a loving environment, and receive the physical, occupational and speech therapies which would continue to change his life. Meeting milestone after milestone, Hart is on the pathway to realizing his limitless potential and finding the light that will ensure his future remains bright. A future that might look a lot different if the Meyer Center did not exist. In 1954, Dr. Leslie Meyer set out to create a world full of opportunity for children with disabilities so that Hart and his friends would have the chance to reach their full potential.

MOBILE MEALS MEET MR. LIPSCOMB This gentle spirited 96 year old widower is grateful for Mobile Meals and the volunteers who deliver meals to his home. He enjoys the delicious, nutritious meals and recognizes that time given by volunteers is a blessing. Mr. Lipscomb grew up in the Cowpens community and went to Cowpens High School. Like many of the recipients we serve, Mr. Lipscomb worked hard while he raised his family before retirement. He takes great joy in talking about his family as well as his service for this country. He shared with us that he joined the United States Army as soon as he met the age requirements and served during WWII. When he returned home from the war, he married his high school sweetheart, Violet. They raised three sons in a home they built beside his parents and he still lives there. Life changed when he became a widower in 2008.Mr. Lipscomb continues to live in his home independently under the watchful eye of visiting family members. His son reached out to Mobile Meals for assistance when Mr. Lipscomb’s memory became a challenge, ending his ability to drive a vehicle. The frequent drives to the local diner stopped and he was unable to prepare a meal that he needed. He repeatedly said “I think I’ve had a good life” and “Mobile Meals has been really good to me”. We serve 1300 seniors, frail and homebound with similar situations like Mr. Lipscomb. We need the community’s support to meet the needs of seniors throughout Spartanburg County. We ask you to join us in feeding seniors by donating or by volunteering to take meals to homes of homebound neighbors.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
P.S. Your gift in any amount, will stay in Spartanburg and feed seniors in need of a meal. Please help and send a gift today or call Mobile Meals to volunteer. We need you! Donate online at www.mobile-meals.org on our secure website.

ROPER MOUNTAIN SCIENCE CENTER MEET ASHLEY ZALABAK ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE SPECIALIST AT ROPER MOUNTAIN SCIENCE CENTER Ashley was born and raised in Greenville. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and grew up coming to Roper Mountain for field trips as an elementary school student at Oakview Elementary. She recently joined the team at Roper Mountain, and was previously employed at the South Carolina Aquarium. Ashley’s main childhood memories of Roper Mountain are the Rainforest, Planetarium, and the Living History Farm. Her love of animals and interest in science started at Roper Mountain. She remembers being responsible for the care of a guinea pig during a summer camp. “That was my first experience taking care of a pet. That started my love of animals and nature. I attended several other camps at Roper Mountain so I could learn more about animals.”
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
That led to a Marine Biology course at Hillcrest, which she loved. She joked, “I barely studied for the class and had the highest grade! I was so interested in the subject, and it came naturally.” She decided to study Marine Biology at the College of Charleston as a result.
34
After graduation, she took a job at the Aquarium. “I wasn’t even looking for a new job,” she said, “I honestly couldn’t think of a job that I love more than the aquarium!” Until the Roper Mountain position came across her desk. What is she most excited about, working here at Roper Mountain? “I’m most excited to be able to do for other kids what Roper Mountain did for me!”
Roper Mountain At Roper Mountain, we deliver real-world, hands-on, inquirybased, informal learning in science and social studies to students in grades 2-8, teachers, parents and the public. THORNBLADE CLUB Thornblade Club is situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the beautiful city of Greenville, South Carolina. The club was established in 1990 and designed by world-renowned architect, Tom Fazio, in collaboration with PGA and Champions Tour Veteran, Jay Haas. Thornblade Club is a Par 71 course with multiple sets of tees to challenge the skill set of any golfer. Brushy Creek winds its way through the property, rendering beautiful scenery, and at times precise play. The Fazio Design team returned to Thornblade in 2019 for significant renovations to the course’s bunkers and surroundings, including a state-of-the-art liner system and specific sand granules to ensure the finest playing conditions for our golfers. The positioning of the new bunkers have certainly added a new element of shot making to a golf course that already demands your full attention. Thornblade Club is certainly a golf course to be enjoyed by our youngest generation of golfers as well as the finest players in the world and everyone in between.

THE CLIFFS
THE CLIFFS VALLEY Tucked into its lush namesake, The Cliffs Valley golf course follows the land’s natural contours and elevation changes, challenging members to play over and around streams, ponds and rolling hills. The temperate weather and beautiful course has created one of the most enthusiastic golf communities at The Cliffs. In 2017, The Cliffs Valley course benefitted from nearly $500,000 and 15 weeks of enhancements, including a full conversion of all greens surfaces to Champion Bermudagrass, along with the addition of several unique and challenging bunkers. Ben Wright’s goal was to move as little dirt as possible — an enlightened approach twenty-six years ago that has become the mantra of modern day course design. The course is invitingly walkable as it boasts many stone bridges that remind us of the game’s origins. Hills are lush and waterfalls seem to be around every corner. So, when the course is set deep in a valley such as this, one can expect that water is going to come into play, and at it does on just about every hole. It might be a creek you can jump across, or a lake that is more of a visual than real hazard but certainly, Wright got it all right here. There is no sport older or with a more traditional ethic than golf. Honesty is as much a part of the fabric of the game as is, well, plaid. And so at The Cliffs Valley we honor that lineage, with plenty of plaid, tall gabled roofs, ornate bars and stone fireplaces – all the trapping that are as comfortable as the leather grip on your favorite putter.
BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation
The Cliffs Valley, nestled between North and South Carolina, is consistently rated by our members as their favorite course, in part because of its walkability and its reputation for being playable virtually every day of the year, which members absolutely do. This is a rich golf experience in every aspect of the game, from the golf shop to the range and surely to a classic clubhouse. At The Cliffs Valley, architect Ben Wright absolutely got it right.

A parkland-style course with impeccably maintained Bermudagrass tees and fairways and champion ultra-dwarf Bermuda greens. Course designer is Ben Wright, Emmy and Peabody award-winning golf commentator. The Cliffs Valley debuted with honors from Golf Digest, garnering a Best New Courses Award.”
