Minutes of the August 18, 2018 Business Meeting of the BMW Riders of Western Colorado, Inc. Here are the minutes from last Saturday’s meeting: Meeting started at approx. 9:03am. 9 members present GJ Harley/BMW will have Bill ( salesman ) and Derek (mechanic ) be at the rally site Saturday afternoon hopefully Bill will be there early afternoon, Derek will be there later in the afternoon around 3:00 – 4:00pm . Derek will give a tech talk and maybe do a oil change after or around the dinner hour. Tracy was going to talk to Derek and get back to us with more definitive details on what he could and could not do. BMW shop to give away grand door prize which is a set of tires. They pay half our club pays half . BMW shop will mount for free or ship them to the winners address Roger Grudt is in Paonia in a nursing home now, and if he is able to travel a couple of club members mentioned that they would go pick him and bring him to the rally for a little while..that will be dependent on his condition at that time Thursday social on 9/6/2018 is at RJ’s Steakhouse in Cedaredge at 6:00pm. Nick is going to call and see if reservations are needed or anything of the like. Nick sent the following Two Things: 1. Per the request at the last meeting, I have made arrangements (reservations if you will) for 6-8 club members to have dinner at RJ's Steakhouse at 6 PM in the "Bar Area." RJ's is about one mile south of the stoplight in Cedaredge on the east side of the road. Judy and I will be celebrating our 48th anniversary there that night in the dining room. 2. Judy and I visited Roger Grudt at Paonia Senior Care this afternoon. It is my judgment that he will not be able to attend the Thunder Mtn. Rally as his dementia is pretty far advanced and he can not communicate with folks. But those that wish could still visit him if he is still there. September 21-23, 2018 CO 15th Thunder Mountain Rendezvous BMW Riders of Western Colorado MOA #270 Come join us at the Delta County Fairgrounds in downtown Hotchkiss on Color weekend on the Western Slope of Colorado. Our rally offers great camaraderie, a beautiful venue, and the greatest riding in Colorado. It also helps us raise money to support motorcycle safety and the local Booster Club. Our low elevation venue includes a large meeting hall, restrooms with showers, plenty of grassy camping and the convenience of walking to downtown restaurants, stores and motels. Your rally fee of $40 before (Aug 15),$50 at the gate, gets you dinner Friday and Saturday nights, H.S. Booster Club fundraiser pancake breakfast available Sat AM, continental breakfast Sunday morning, camping, free coffee and tea, door prizes, ride presentations and movies both Friday and Saturday nights inside Heritage Hall.
