When JD approached Jeff about buying Powerline back in the summer of 2018, Jeff jumped at the opportunity. It combined two of his greatest passions - quality seedstock and cattle feeding. Today, Jeff is not only an owner, but he is a core multiplier, who has raised several high sellers for the program. Jeff continues to support as many of our bull customers as he can when they market their PLG sired feeder cattle.
We recognize that you as cattlemen and women have numerous options when it comes to sources for new genetics, especially in our home area of SW Nebraska. When asked, “why should someone buy a bull from Powerline,” the answer is quite simple. We understand the bottomline, and we don’t believe in chasing the next fad or trend. We don’t market EVERY male born calf from our genetic multipliers because quite honestly, they should NOT all be marketed as bulls. We work to produce and sell bulls that provide our customers with value and the ability they need to reach their operational goals without breaking the bank. So, whether you are after a heifer bull, a bull to add size to your cowherd, or one that can generate pounds at weaning, we have an offering that will check the boxes.
Meet our team!
Bobbi, aka the bull boss, has been the backbone of the program for last several years. Her diverse background has made her a unique asset to the team. She gets ears in the picture pen, runs the scrotal tape, designs ads and the catalog, collects data, edits videos, well the list goes on and on. She always wears a smile, and she doesn’t shy away from the challenges or dirty jobs. If you have a question about the bulls, she is your go to on the details and specifics.
Deryl is the newest member of our little team, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him on board. He brings decades of experience and networking to the table. If you have ever been to a Simmental influenced sale, chances are you have crossed paths with him. Deryl is a long time ABS rep as well, and he juggles multiple AI projects throughout the year. He will be working directly with customers to assist them in finding the right bulls for their operations.
