LUIS SANCHEZ Prepared for Princess Productions & Shine TV By Luis Sanchez Address: 99 Langbrook Road SE3 8RA Phone number: 07530 937785 Email: luissanchezproductions@googlemail.com Introduction I am a very creative, hard working and focused individual with a strong work ethic who always strives to complete every task to the very best of my ability. I have a deep love for TV and Film having studied media for four years and currently in year two of a three year course of a TV production degree at the University of Central Lancashire. I am however always eager to learn new skills, experience new ways of working and meet new people. Why You Should Hire Me •
I’m always full of ideas often make rap songs, song parodies, original comedy songs, sketches, and write scripts. I have been involved with filmmaking and for the last eight years and script writing for the last seven years. In secondary school I was a member of a filmmaking group called cine club and an Internet based TV channel called Tallis TV which me gave great experience of working in a team to create content on a frequent basis and improved my communication skills.
•
I then started to write, direct, film and produce my own sketches and short films. I have been one of the key writers for an internet based sketch show called The 313 Show and also written for multiple stage shows including the topical sketch show The NewsRevue for which I was paid.
•
I frequently attended writers meetings in which my script would be read for a room full of people and then I was given feedback, this has made me able to reflect upon and critically analyse my own work.
•
I have also performed stand up comedy at open mic nights for the last three years. This has allowed me to develop strong public speaking skills that allow me not to be shy in front of any room full of people this proved useful when pitching a program idea to the CBBC head of programming Sam Lewels and a room full of people.
•
Attending networking events since I was 16 has also helped my public speaking skills as I often had to speak in front of a room full of people. It has also helped me developed my people skills and has allowed me to make a lot
of contacts. •
I’m currently a member of the PSTV, which is my universities online student television channel. Which has given me more experience of post production editing with multiple cameras in sync with each other, narrating over footage and filming sports on location in a variety of weather conditions. I’m also heavily involved in my Universities’ radio station producing and hosting two weekly programs which has allowed me to explore my creative mind over the freedom over a total of 4 hours in timeslots each week.
•
I’ve also recently completed work experience with ITV working on Dancing on Ice and under went training with production company ADI and I always strive to continue to gain more experience in the TV industry.
