2021 PWH® Leadership Summit

As I reflect upon our first two leadership summits in Minneapolis, so many words come to mind—motivation, education, support and inspiration are a few. I believe we can all agree that when you leave the summit, you walk away wanting to take every moment back with you to share with others, so they can enjoy the experience that the PWH® Leadership Summit brings.

I can still remember that first year as Vice Chair of Content, when young, aspiring leaders to seasoned, industry leaders would excitedly approach me in the hallways or on the elevator with comments about the summit. They shared thoughts on how much they were learning from the speakers and the variety of content, how much they enjoyed the networking, and how the important message of gender partnership and diversity was needed in our industry. As my background is in PR and communications and I’m not physically “out in the field” like many of the attendees, I found the comments to be both interesting and enlightening. I sensed a true need for support and relationshipbuilding, and I felt strongly that PWH® was able to help fulfill that need.

Due to the pandemic and ongoing challenges, we decided it would be in the best interest of our attendees to make the summit virtual this year. Something we never saw coming! But, as we’ve all had to adjust our lives and learn new ways of engaging with each other, we will confidently do it again with this year’s summit, and it will be great. While we will miss the comradery that comes with being together live during the summit, I believe the attendees will truly be inspired this year with the programming and networking that we have planned.

Dynamic Speakers and Creative Networking

We are excited to share that our dynamic lineup of speakers remains unchanged and the content, as with the first two summits, will motivate, educate and inspire you. In addition to our extraordinary keynote speakers and workshop facilitators, you will hear from key executives in our industry who will share insights that will help you on your leadership journey. How fortunate we are to have the opportunity to learn from these leaders in the healthcare industry, especially during this time when healthcare is at the forefront of our minds and our work.

There are other substantial benefits to this year’s event. We have included a PWH® Showcase with virtual rooms for our sponsors where you can learn more about what their companies provide. There will also be new member and mentor/ mentee networking opportunities and cultural inclusion education. And of course, we will have a fun networking event on the first day of the conference (hint: it involves food ). Bring your beverage of choice, catch up with friends and build relationships during Chats and Cheers.
