Bow string wax

Seal-Tite® Bowstring Wax Overview Seal-Tite is silicone-based bowstring wax formulated especially for high tensile synthetic bowstrings that require surface lubrication. It remains soft in cold weather and extends bowstring life by reducing friction between the fibers during shooting. Synthetic bowstrings are not porous and wax cannot penetrate the string fibers. Wax protects bowstrings and serving from the weather and provides a silky, odorless, waterproof, and durable coating. ®

Tools Required Tube of Seal-Tite® Optional: leather strip to rub the wax onto the string (although using your fingers is recommended)

Application To apply to bowstrings: Start with a clean string (remove dirt and old wax). Warm the tube by rolling it between your hands first to loosen. Remove lid and push wax up from the bottom of the tube. Apply liberally to the bowstring fibers. Rub wax into fibers briskly using fingers or the leather strip. The leather strip allows for a quicker and more even application, but the drawback is that friction may overheat the string and wax. For this reason we recommend using your fingers so it is easy to feel the temperature of the wax and string. As wax warms, it melts onto fibers. Wax string at the first indication of wear in string fibers (approximately 200 shots). Some signs of wear include fraying of the string and discoloration. Other uses: Use on press-fit nocks. Apply to nock shank for easier insertion and indexing.

Tex-Tite速 Bowstring Wax Overview Tex-Tite速 is a high-viscosity wax formulated for Dacron or synthetic bowstrings. It is a Paraffin based wax blend that protects string and serving from the weather, providing a tacky, odorless, waterproof, and durable coating. Dry bowstring fibers tend to vibrate against each other when the bow is shot, potentially wearing the fibers out prematurely and weakening the bowstring. Proper application of a good formula wax can extend the life of a bowstring many times over.

The leather strip allows for a quicker and more even application, but the drawback is that friction may overheat the string and wax too much. For this reason we recommend using your fingers so it is easy to feel the temperature of the wax and string. As wax warms, it melts onto fibers. Wax string at the first indication of wear in string fibers (approximately 200 shots). Some signs of wear include fraying of the string and discoloration. Other uses: Use Tex-Tite速 on all threads. The wax keeps points and broadheads from loosening and keeps threads from rusting or seizing inside insert. Simply coat threads and install. Use on press-fit nocks. Apply to nock shank for easier insertion and indexing.
