Diamond T Cattle Co “Stockmans Choice” Bull & Female Sale 2025

Page 1

from DIAMOND T CATTLE

We are thrilled to be addressing our customers in our 11th Edition of the Stockmans Choice Bull & Female Sale catalogue.

Spring sprung early this year, we are nearing the completion of calving, and we have been seeing lots of heats on our mature cows, which gets us excited for sale time! With the mail strike in December, we opted to not send our annual letter to our customers which makes us feel like we have so much to update you all on, we look forward to doing so in person! The kids keep us busy running to sports, 4H, cattle shows and junior rodeos. We are constantly reminded how great it is to have a cow herd that works for us and not the other way around.

Dawson Cleveland joined us again this winter and we are so excited to have him back. The extra set of hands is so helpful and keeps Justine out of the feed tractor, which she’s happy about. Dawson knows the cattle here just as well as the rest of us, so please feel free to reach out to him if you’d like to do so.

Every year we think the sale offering can’t get any better and then it does … which is exactly what we strive for each day. Grandpa Ron always says, “those cows better be out producing themselves!”

Our 3 main sire groups on the Black Angus side are Peak Dot No Doubt 1019G, Montana Judgement 1038 and LFE Best Answer 800H. Our Red Angus sire groupings are Red Allison Elysium 80J and Red Pacific Rolling Rock 8K. We also have a few embryo calves offered in the sale this year; Justine is always thrilled when we are heavy on embryo heifers and I’m a little more disappointed we don’t have more bulls to offer in the sale. We are confident in these bulls; they are bred & raised to work for you and last.

New this year, we have milking Elysium daughters and boy oh boy, we are even more thrilled with them than we imagined. We continue to be impressed with our No Doubt daughters. They will be our foundation moving forward. As we source new genetics each year, we continue to focus on finding sound, maternal cattle that will last and repeatedly produce pounds. Our calves are never crept fed, Justine likes to remark that we run the pairs with too many black bears to afford to feed all the wildlife in the Bearberry area! Our mindset has always been steadfast and firm that, “if our customers aren’t creep feeding, then the bulls they are buying can’t be either.”

I’ve snuck some more heifers by Justine again this year; as they entered the picture pen, her favourite statement was “who decided to sell this one”. More recently Justine has admitted that we don’t have enough ground to keep them all. These heifers are right from the heart of our replacement pen, and we are confident they will work for you, the same way they would work for us if we kept them here.

We continue to work closely with Doug Roxburgh and Bullseye on our nutrition program. With Doug’s guidance we are confident in how we grow and develop our cattle. We are always tough on fertility, structural integrity and longevity. We also continue to work hand in hand with Hans Reimert of Pioneer Veterinary Service. The bulls have all gone through a Breeding Soundness Evaluation and the heifers have all been palpated.

The following pages are our blood, sweat and tears. We work each day to raise cattle that we are proud of; each breeding decision, feeding decision, land use decision is focused around producing high quality cattle that get better each year. Every year we say it and it holds just as true today as any, we LOVE raising cattle and we are so grateful that we get to continue to do so! All thanks to YOU, our customers. Last year we said, “Not every day is perfect but there is something good in every day” and that is as true then as it is now.

As we get closer to sale day, please stop in for a tour and visit. We would be thrilled to show you through the bulls and their mama’s! There is nothing we enjoy more than getting to know our customers and talking about cattle.

We are confident in our “sight unseen purchase plan”, we are always so excited to tour the herd and help you navigate through our program to choose the animal that will fit your breeding scenario accurately. After all, you know your cows better than anyone and we know the capabilities of this cowherd so between the pair of us, we’ll come up with the best solution.

Please plan to join us and bring your family on April 1st to the 11th Annual Stockmans Choice Bull & Female Sale – at the Diamond T Sale yard!

We stand Behind our Bulls and Beside our Customers!

Best regards, Brody, Justine, Calynn & Hiller Gardner

Bull & Female Sale

Tuesday 2 pm at the Ranch Olds, AB

from BOHRSON MARKETING Welcome

The last 12 months has been some of the most rewarding times to be in the beef industry. As cow/calf producers, we finally have the sense of feeling like we are in the driver seat a bit with record high prices on all classes of cattle. There is no better time to own a cow and to own grass and their certainly is no better time to surround yourself with high quality seedstock to utilize in your program to strengthen your program. The Diamond T Cattle Company’s “Stockman’s Choice” Bull & Female Sale will have just that on offer here for their 11th annual sale and on behalf of the Gardner family and our team at BMS, we wish to invite you to join us for their 2025 event.

Again this year are Black & Red Angus Bulls designed to get out and work. These bulls are athletic and fed for longevity. They have been developed with the rancher in mind and are bred to be sound structured working bulls for all sorts of climate and terrain. The red bulls are again highlighted by the proven and predictable Elysium 80J herd bull. He has done a great job leaving a consistent set of sons that are hairy, low birth and high performing. We really appreciate the red set of cows Diamond T has assembled with a great deal of stress on quality feet and fleshing ability. The Black bulls are cowboy bulls and are anchored by a good selection sired by powerful walking bulls and exciting ai bulls. The No Doubt sons have been very popular with long standing Diamond T customers as they are big bodied and stout made with sensible birthweights and scale crushing performance. New this year is an exciting set of sons by the ai sire, Judgement, that adds a new level of maternal qualities to the bulls without sacrificing the always needed growth. These Judgement sons are hairy, soft made and all possess a great look to them. Best Answer is well

represented here with sons built for the heifer pen. There is gonna be some heifers to get bred one day in this country to start at the attempt of the cowherd rebuild and what better bull to utilize than an own son of this popular caving ease stud. Best Answers are low birth bulls that still have plenty of meat and potato’s to them at the end of the day.

As always, Diamond T has dipped into the replacement pen to offer some select Black heifers. These females are sisters to the bulls and are a great look into what the maternal side of the bulls pedigrees have to offer. These females represent the powerful cow families that work at Diamond T and are a great opportunity to select some top end females to start a program with or to mix in with your already existing operation. Take these gals home, turn them out, breed them how you want and watch them work for you.

Be sure to give Brody or Justine a call anytime before the sale to visit about the cattle on offer. They are knowledgable cow folks that would love to hear from you. Be sure to go out anytime previous to view the bulls and their mothers and then plan to be back with us sale day for the great set of Angus genetics and some awesome hospitality with some of the best pie you’ll find anywhere! If we at BMS can assist in any way, feel free to give us a shout anytime. We would be glad to help.

Best regards,

The Bohrson Marketing Team

• Mark my words, this stud will lead a CALVING EASE group of bulls and there will be astute cattlemen from across the province lining up to utilize this positive CE, high MCE No Doubt son for his wicked look, added dimension and that herdbull presence we love to acquire

• The smartest thing you could do on sale day is buy a trailer load of these Peak Dot No Doubt sons and do nothing but count your stacks of cash next fall when you bring that load of calves to town to the market

• We have been anticipating the Montana Judgement calves for quite some time and maybe more excited about their future as any sire group in a long time

• Combine that with the maternal prowess of our CAA ELITE 1437 cow on the bottom side of this pedigree, here is a herdsire prospect that combines a world of potential

• Judgement 2436 is powerfully constructed with more length, rib cage, muscling and center body cavity

• When you take your first set of steer calves to the market next year, your neighbors will drool over the cheque you get from their added length and the power he’ll put in them

• His dam is a massive anchor to our cowherd and has produced multiple sale toppers to LLB Angus, Dun-Rite Stock & Stables, our good friends the Harriman’s and more females and bulls retained in-herd to even count to perpetuate her incredible

• Feast your eyes on this tank that has more middle barrel than me at an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet

• Doug Henderson used to teach us to, “buy your herdsires based on the cow” so in this guy’s case, invest as fast as you can

• The Bardolia 2145 donor cow will have a significant impact on our future as we have flushed her numerous times to elite powerhouse matings to further solidify the prominence of the Bardolia cow family to Diamond T

• The Judgement females in the replacement pen are so broody, capacious and maternal that we are pumped to have them as our backbone for years to come so combine that with a Bardolia raised son and this stud will be a true female maker

• If length equals pounds, then this big beast will be the rancher’s best friend for a massive set of steers come next fall

• Just picture it, you drop your calves off at Rosehill’s and the buyers are sitting there and they see the length, hair and muscle from a set of calves sired by No Doubt 2469, you’ll be a popular fellow

• Maternally, this rascal has one of the elite, picturesque females backing him in the herd with 1770 who is always recognized on pasture tours

• I’ll bet this big guy has a ton of friends come April 1

DIAMOND T MERCURY 24130

The cattle market has been strong and the early bulls sales this season have gone very well. Over the last few years focusing on silage production has become a bigger focus. It becomes the base to the diets we use to feed and develop the cattle. Developing mineral and protein supplements to fill in the gaps where needed. Changes have been made but the focus on producing functional bulls and females that will last for years to come has not. The bulls feeding program is built to maximize forage utilization and gut health. The bulls are developed on grass with their moms and then moved onto a balanced diet that promotes lean muscle growth. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and over all health of bulls. The overall nutritional health and development of the bulls and the entire cow herd is of utmost importance and is constantly being tweaked to meet environmental and seasonal conditions. If you have any questions on the feed program at Diamond T, please feel free to call.
