We wish to welcome you all to the monumental 25th Anniversary sale on behalf of the Kuntz Simmental Farm, McIntosh Livestock, SAJ Simmentals programs and all of us at Bohrson Marketing Services. A quarter-century of supplying quality Simmental bulls to the industry’s most progressive commercial and purebred operations alike is no small feat and is only made possible by great customers and customer service. We think that is very fitting when you talk about the 3 outfits highlighted in this catalogue as well as the lengthy list of repeat customers that annually source their bull power from the KMS sale. This speaks volumes to the integrity, honesty and respect that is shown between consumer and producer here over the last 25 years and we wish to commend everyone who has played even a small part in reaching this milestone. When you choose to do business here with the KMS group, know that a handshake means something and that they will always do their best to look after you and your cows needs.
Kuntz Simmental Farm has been in this sale from the get-go and have had a large reputation of being home to some very influential herd sires in the industry. Their dedicated approach to raising high performing Simmental cattle of both fullblood and red factor is seen across the Country and we feel their 2024 bull pen lives up to the hype. Powerful fullblood bulls built heavily around proven, consistent cow families and red bulls that are heavy haired, thick made and easy doing. In their section of this catalogue you will see a nice cross selection of proven ai and embryo transfer calves as well as natural calves off exiting walking bulls.
Blair, Steph and the boys at McIntosh Livestock have perhaps the longest record for most consecutive wins at the CWA Bull Pen show. Between the Supreme Champion overall breeds title and peoples choice voting wins, they annually clean it up and again this year they will be selling 3 bulls that were apart of their Supreme pen. This is a really cool streak that many astute cattleman have judged and being selected by all sorts of out of breed producers and commercial cowboys says a lot about their program and the bulls they use to represent it. Outside of the 3 powerful herd bulls that were apart of the pen, you’ll find many intriguing bulls by industry leading ai sires with an awesome blend of performance and calving ease bulls available.
Stuart Jamieson’s SAJ Simmentals operation has brought to town what we feel is his most consistent and diverse offering to date. Consistent in quality, bull after bull no matter what the pedigree is, Stuarts bulls have the hair, colour, structural integrity and attractive look. Diverse in options as there will be full bloods, reds and blacks on offer all in either performance, or caving ease options. Stuarts herd bull battery is very well represented here with the likes of William “Willow” and Future 52J as his own walking bulls have truly put some of the sale features into his pen that nicely compliment exciting and exclusive ai bulls used such as Mountain View, Next Century and True North.
We believe the depth and consistency shown across three breeding programs that are like minded with similar goals and values that come together under one roof is truly exciting and offers you, the customer, so many options in different colours. No matter what your needs or wants are, no matter what your operation is, we feel the options are endless. Be sure to make plans to tour the bull pens anytime leading up to the sale and give the folks a call to discuss the offering. We encourage you to make plans to join us at the Lloydminster Exhibition for this great event on the new sale date, SUNDAY MARCH 10, 2024 at 2:00pm! If your busy schedules keep you away from sale day and you need a professional evaluation or want to utilize our industry leading order buying services, feel free to contact any of us from BMS. We hope to see you SUNDAY MARCH 10 for this 25th annual event!
Best regards,
The Bohrson Marketing TeamI would like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to our annual bull sale.
This year marks 25 years of selling our bulls in Lloydminster, a milestone that we are very proud to have accomplished. 25 years in the purebred business is a long time and would not be possible without the support of our family and especially not without the support from you, our customers. Your trust in our operation is what drives us to produce the strongest pen of bulls possible, with genetics that will allow you to prosper in the cattle business. We are experiencing some exciting times in the livestock industry and high performing Simmental cattle are leading the way.
This year’s bull sale brings some fairly significant changes. First and foremost is the NEW DATE AND TIME of the sale. This year’s sale will be happening a couple days earlier on Sunday March 10 @ 2:00 PM CST. Along with that, Bohrson Marketing Services will be taking over the management role of the sale. Scott Bohrson and his staff have already been involved with the sale for the past 13 years. So, we are confident that Scott, Taylor, Darryl, Jaxon, Nate, Riley or any of the rest of the Bohrson crew will continue to assist you with the same level of professionalism that you have come to expect from our sales staff. With that said, I want to thank Chris, Shane, Ben, Bryan and the rest of the staff at T Bar C for helping us grow this sale over the years and for doing it in such a professional manner.
As always, we encourage you to come evaluate the bulls prior to the sale. We are always available for pen tours at the farm where you can step into the pen beside and see their mothers as well. We are located approximately 40 km south west of Battleford off highway #29. The bulls will also be available for viewing anytime inside the heated and well light barn at the Exhibition Grounds in Lloydminster from March 8th till sale time.
Please check us out on Facebook or online at www.kuntzsimmentals.com for videos and updates.
We look forward to seeing you all on SUNDAY MARCH 10 at 2:00 PM!

NON DILUTER Michelob is a bull that demands your attention as he struts around the bull pen. With his rugged power and herd bull presence on full display, he still has a quiet and calm disposition that is hard not to like. He has big sound feet and strides out with ease, especially for a bull with so much muscle mass.
Michelob’s quality is no fluke as year after year 517C’s sons are the feature bulls in our bull pen. She cranks out herd bulls no matter which bull we breed her to. For proof of that, check out Lot 2 or look up any of her 6 sons that have sold in the past or come check out her set of JNR Barbarian calves that are coming up for next year’s bull sale.
Michelob is a Full Fleckvieh that has the look, soundness, scrotal development, pedigree, and color that make him a top herd sire candidate for even the most discerning cattle breeder.

Here is a Fleckvieh bull with a little extra shape and character to him. His mother is a super sound young cow that is moderately framed with a strong udder and lots of milk. Leon’s grand dam is the 308A donor cow who has had an outstanding production record. With the combination of Outlook, Blueprint, 308A and the Miss Moses cow family, expect Leon to sire a set of moderate framed, high producing females that you can build a herd around.

Reckoning is a smaller framed meat wagon. He hit the ground running and was so impressive at a young age that we decided to flush his two year old mother last spring. Those resulting calves will be turning heads in the months to come. Reckoning has such a nice smooth little head and front end that we wish to retain some semen on to use in our heifer pen.

The other was sold to Maxwell Simmentals at the Border City sale. A full brother was a highlight a few years ago selling to Kelvin Egan from Quebec.
Leonardo is a moderate framed, sound made full fleckvieh bull. He is a sharp looking bull that is very clean in his lines. His dam is polled cow who is also moderate sized with excellent feet and a beautiful udder.

Lenny is a high percentage fleckvieh bull that is sure to impress. He is a stout made power bull that possesses loads of muscle mass and depth of rib. This is not just a power bull tho, as he packs an impressive amount of maternal strength in his pedigree as well with the likes of Whisper, Precious Thing, and Helga. Westgold Farms owns a full brother that is doing an impressive job.

Here is a smooth made bull with exceptional color. Las Vegas is an embryo calf from an older mating off Miss Moses 03X. After spending many years as an embryo donor for us, we sold her to Stanley Martin in Iowa where he continued to use her as a donor. Her list of descendants is truly impressive in both quality and quantity. This pedigree offers the type of maternal power that you’ll want to keep all of his daughters.

His blaze faced maternal brother was a pen favourite last year selling to Ryan Eddingfield of Unity.

This stout, moderate framed bull is so deep bodied and easy doing, he probably could thrive on straw and snow balls. “Tanky” is the most appropriate word possible to describe Lazer. He has so much barrel to him that you almost overlook how thick and wide topped he really is. He reminds me a lot of his maternal brother who sold last year to High Country Cattle Services.
Law 50L is a moderate made, low birth weight bull off a first calf heifer. 111J is a solid red flush mate to Lili 107J, the cow we showed last fall at Agribition and sold her heifer calf at Border City for $17,000. The maternal side of this pedigree is as good as we have. Calving ease plus maternal with Law 50L.
Liberty is another one of the curve bender bulls in the pen. He is a long bodied, smooth made bull that started out at 77 pounds and weaned off his 2 year old mother at an impressive 907 pounds. She is a strong uddered heavy milking cow that has a bright future. Unfortunately, Liberty is the only “Sochi” bull calf we got last year as he got hurt a couple days into the breeding season and we only ended up getting a few calves off him. We used him sparingly in the heifer pen this past spring and hopefully he is now back to 100% for he calves exceptionally well on heifers and passes on that hard to find, cherry red color.

Louisville + Lancaster come from the final mating we got from Nettie 23Y. These two bulls are like peas in a pod. They are long spined and smooth made with a bit more extension through their front end. Their build suggests that they should offer the type of calving ease that we had in mind when we choose this mating. The full sisters in the replacement pen have us excited about growing this cow family. We have been very happy with the Can Am progeny. He calves easily on heifers yet doesn’t give up on performance as they are some of our top calves.

Borderline is a true curve bender. He came into this world at just 77 pounds and then exploded to put up an adjusted yearling weight of 1539. His EPD profile is quite impressive as well. His CE is in the top 2% while his YW still ranks in the top 30% of the breed yet his maternal traits rank right up there as well. But that’s enough about numbers, Borderline passes the eye test too. He is smooth made with a square hip, packed full of muscle. His mother is top ranking young cow that, if she can be anything like her mother, you will hear about her a lot more in the years to come.
We are excited to showcase this group of bulls. We feel this is a very complete group of Bulls that we have brought to town, with a good mix of calving ease, highly maternal and power bulls to add value to your operation. We truly enjoy raising our family in this industry and spending time at cattle shows and sales watching the excitement in the Simmental breed. We seem to get busier every year though, with things around the farm and activities with family and perhaps don’t get a chance to show our appreciation and visit with all our customers the way we would like to. So a special thanks to everyone that has supported us at the past bull and female sales over the years. Without all of you we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this great industry!
McIntosh bulls have been developed on a TMR ration this year. Our ration consists of cereal silage, chopped hay, brown oats and a BULLSEYE Feed bull supplement. All bulls have been double vaccinated with Fusogard to help in the prevention of foot rot. Also bulls have been double vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold One Shot and Ultrabac 7/Somubac. Bulls have been treated with Ivermectin early fall, then they had a dose of Clean Up 2 and also received Safeguard crumbles late in the fall.
We will work with you to get the bulls delivered as close to you as possible and in a time frame that works for both parties.
Keep an eye on our McIntosh Livestock Facebook Page as well as DLMS/Cattlevids for Videos. Sale Weights and scrotal measurements will be posted a few days prior to the sale.
We would like to invite all past, present and future customers to come on out to the sale and also try to stop by the farm to preview the bulls and the cow herd any time. The bulls will be on display indoors from March 8th to sale day March 10th at the Lloydminster Exhibition grounds in Lloydminster SK. Don’t hesitate to call with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone March 10th!
Blair & Stephanie McIntoshA favourite of many visitors to our Yard’s pen at Agribition 2023. This bull is simply just really hard to pick a hole in. He has the look for sure, he definitely has the power and performance, he also has the soundness of structure and fluidity of movement. You want your herbulls to come from the best dam you can find and his dam is flat out fantastic. It’s no secret how much we admire the Lexi cow. Her ability to produce eye appealing, high performing offspring while shortening gestation and lowering birthweight is simply put, just awesome. A flush mate to Done Deal sold in Friday Night Lights this past December where she was quite popular and ended up selling for $34000 to the Sugar group. We are excited about the future of these cattle!
The solid black bull from our Agribition Supreme Pen this fall. Not a lot of No Limits offspring have been sold yet, but the ones that have were remarkably well accepted. We feel very lucky to have purchased one of the original semen packs on No Limits which has allowed us to be a part of this very first and very exciting calf crop. Cool Whip has that same presence as his two pen mates, he is a great haired and good looking type of bull. Maybe just a teeny bit less frame than the other two but also maybe has a teeny bit more softness of middle. We love the structural integrity of the offspring from this Lexi X No Limits flush. This breeding really clicked.
Big bald faced No Limits bull from our Agribition Pen of Three bulls. Unmatched in his stoutness of bone; Honcho has all the power, stretch and frame to really make a difference on any set of cows. As proud as you can make one, he just really has a great presence. He excels in growth EPD’s, top 3% weaning weight, top 4% yearling weight. He had an actual weight of 1055 on September 2. A power bull from a cow family known for the awesome quality females that it produces. If you are a person that has followed our program at all the last few years, you will have heard of the Mary Janes. A full sib heifer calf to Honcho fetched $15000 this December at Friday Night Lights to Percy View and Peters Simmentals.
Red baldy No Limits out of the bull producing Nashville cow. This is just the first crop of No Limits bulls to hit the market and with calves that look like this guy, it’s no wonder No Limits semen is now bringing around $450 per straw. This calf is interesting, very interesting. Study him on paper, 79lb birthweight to an actual weaning weight over 900lbs and pounding the scale down at 1450lbs by the 29th of December. Then study him in the flesh, he’s a sound, good looking bull with a gorgeous front third. He can really get out and move and cover some serious ground. Limelight will add great growth and look to his progeny.
Upload is an exciting dark red embryo transplant bull out of No Limits and our Mary Jane 10C donor. Really good growth numbers on this guy, weaning weight and yearling weight numbers both in the top 10% for the Simmental breed. He combines that growth with acceptable maternal numbers and will produce quality offspring. whether your goal is selling steers or keeping replacement females, Upload will fit the bill!
47L is another powerful No Limits son coming from the Sierra cow family. A highlight from the Sierra family was a feature heifer calf that sold through the Border City sale this past Decmber to Matt Holba of Westhill Ranches. We’ve been very pleased with the No Limits offspring. They exhibit acceptable calving ease, with a great look to them, and they are very high perfoming cattle with some stretch and grow. MCINTOSH
Black baldy brother to two of the 2023 Supreme Pen of Bulls. Sure Shot exhibits that same eye appeal as his brothers, he also carries a similar and awesome set of EPD’s. Great haired with a little chrome really help to make Sure Shot stand out in a crowd. Slightly different in build from his brothers, Sure Shot is a little more moderate framed. This guy is the only hetero black bull from the flush, so if your looking for one with the ability to produce a few red ones, he’s the one for you.

Here is a really cool looking Game Face baldy bull out of Carter’s cow Sweetie. Sweetie was a purchase out of the IRCC sale a few years ago and was a fun 4-H heifer for Carter, she’s matured into a beautiful momma cow that we’re sure to point out to visitors here. 58L is fairly moderate in his frame size but big on style and presence. He is a proud bull that always looks good. We’ve used Game Face for a few years now and are quite happy with how he’s worked on our cows. Game Face 64L is a bull that we are quite excited about. He is just one cool fella! Out of a great Profit/Broker cow that we purchased out of the Stewart dispersal in Manitoba a few years back. 19E was a beauty of a cow, big volume, sound, and great uddered. Unfortunately, 19E passed away in the summer of 2023, so this guy will be the last offspring we have from this awesome cow. Take a look at this guys picture and it’s easy to tell why we like him. Very proud and extended in his front third and he backs that up with enough power and thickness to get a person really interested. Red baldy from two black parents, you just got to love it. A full brother sold last year to Holtby Farms Ltd.

Teen Spirit is a highlight bull in the pen this year that showcases another new sire that we used, HFL Mindgame. The Mindgames are performance cattle, great growth to them, they really push the scale down. There are some Mindgame females right at the top of our replacement pen this year; they are very voluminous, big bodied, beautiful girls. Teen Spirit is the natural calf off of our Sassy 16C donor. Sassy is the dam of our high selling bull last year going to Westman and W2. She is also the dam of our lead off bred heifer from Border City this past fall to Oberle Bros.

Here is a Mind Game sired bull and he is the 2023 natural calf of the Wish 33C donor cow. 33C is a model Bootlegger daughter that showcases just why as a female maker Bootlegger just keeps getting better with time. Cows like this are timeless; moderate framed, tanky females that know how to raise a calf. As a sire, we have been impressed with the Mindgame bull, they grow real well and have a pleasing look. Several 33C sons have sold through this sale including two past high sellers to Westgold Farms, a couple sons to Selte Land and Cattle, also Pinder Farms, Louis Watt, and Spornitz Farms.

Lookout is a moderate framed chunk of a bull, sired by True North. He comes from a lovely Daredevil sired female from our Pride cow family and she raises the right kind. Lookout has a real presence about him and he has no trouble gettting noticed in the pen by visitors. He carries that ever popular blaze face with minimal extra white which is ideal for placing the odd blaze on your pen of calves.

Here is an interesting one with a different pedigree for us. Bonafide came to us via an embryo purchase from Mader’s Ladies Night sale. Sired by LFE Hall Pass who is a past high seller from Lewis Farms and the Mader Lady 50G cow. 50G is also a past high seller for Mader’s and she was shown extensively as a two year old by the Mader family. Bonafide is a moderate framed bull that is thick and wide based. He carries a balanced set of EPD’s along with a nice 88lb birthweight.

This dark red son of our Ironclad herdsire had an actual weaning weight of 1045lbs beginning of September. His growth birth to weaning was impressive to say the least. We can’t say enough about the Epic x Mary Jane daughters that we have in our herd and Chill Bill’s dam is one of the best. 8L is backed by beautiful donor cows on both the top and bottom of his pedigree. Just building in predictability with each generation. This guy can really get out and move and he should be able to cover some serious cows next spring/summer.

In the market for a Simmental bull to potentially run in the heifer pen? Look no further. This bull is sired by Red Heat who is in the very top of the top of all simmental bulls in his calving ease and birthweight EPD’s. 6L himself has a calving ease number over 16 and couples that with a negative birthweight number. Heat came to us as an in dam purchase from the Rafter 4T operation and she didn’t disappoint, beautiful udder, sound on her feet and legs, nice big bodied type of female. She exceeded expectations bringing a bull of this quality to town on her first try.

It is once again a pleasure to work with the Kuntz and McIntosh families. I would like to thank all past customers and friends who have purchased bulls and females from me over the years. The bulls have been on a full herd health program, and will have been double vaccinated with Fusogard for the prevention of footrot. The bulls are available to view at the yard anytime and will be at the Lloyd Ex Grounds to view March 8, 9 and 10. Videos of the bulls will be available mid to late February and can be viewed on dlms.ca and cattlevids.com. Feel free to give me a call about the bulls or any of the Bohrson Marketing team. Thank you again and good luck with your purchases.

NON DILUTER Well the 64E cow has done it again with this bull. A full brother to last years high seller going to Black Gold and Little Willow Creek. Shook is a well mannered bull that was shown beside his dam at the Turtleford Cattle Show in August. A bull that you admire for his rugged look. He stands on a good foot and travels out well. I appreciate him for his thickness, dark red colour and temperament. A bull I’m proud of and one I think has a bright future.

Miller is a typical William son, good hair, good temperament and a heavy weaning weight. Miller and his 25E dam were shown this past summer at the Vermilion Fair where I had good comments on them as a pair. A full brother sold two years ago to Kotowich Evergreen Farms, that was the top of my pen. Miller is a good bull that will increase weaning weights and make good replacement females. He stands right at the top of my groups of bulls.

82L is easily, quite likely the longest bull in the pen. Dark, dark red bull that had a brother last year sell to Tyler Smith at Leask, Sk. 82L is appreciated when you stand behind him and see the thickness he has too. When you combine the length and thickness of this fella, I’d expect some serious weaning weights on your steers. His 59H dam was a past 4-H heifer that is well liked on the farm here.

A high percentage Fleck bull here. Coming from the full Fleck 6D cow that raised a full brother last year that the Garniers at Vermilion purchased. He is very similar to the brother last year and 6D has a full brother again this year. This will be the last large group of Willow bulls as he was sold due to injury. I was able to collect semen on him so will utilize him through AI on certain cows. 84L will be a bull that will look impressive as a mature bull.

The pen pet this year would be this fella. He stayed in the picture pen the whole time and didn’t mind provided he got his scratches between each bull. Big time performance on this Mountain View son. Weaning off his red and white faced dam at 1000 lbs. in September, and then continuing to gain at a good pace, weighing 1430 lbs. at the start of December. Expect big growthy calves from this fella. Easy to notice in the pen with his very dark red colour and big body. His dam has a full brother trending towards next years sale.
78L is a bull I really like and am proud to have here at the sale. A red bull that kinda fits the type of a full blood bull. It would be hard to find a bull with as much depth of body and easy keeping abilities that he has. Visitors in the pen are easily drawn to him. His 17F dam is a very good cow with an udder I’d rank near the top in my herd. This is a bull I’m excited to see where he goes and watch him grow into an impressive herd bull. The final Mountain View bull on offer this year fits the pattern of his pen mates again with his dark red colour and length of body. Coming from a heavy milking Rim Rock dam. Some calving ease lines up in this pedigree with Rim Rock and Mountain View without sacrificing performance. A bull that will cover a wide group of cows.
A good bull to start a run of three calving ease bulls from my new Ashworth bred heifer bull. Probably one of the easiest fleshing bulls I’ve had for a while, which he got from his first calving Rim Rock dam. Calving ease throughout this pedigree with Guerrero, Rim Rock, Red Mountain and Export. An EPD profile that reads calving ease. His mom is a cow I make sure to point out with her good body type and correct udder. A bull to be sure to check out.
