Welcome to the 26th annual Kuntz McIntosh SAJ Simmental Bull Sale held at the Lloydminster Exhibition on SUNDAY March 9th. The KMS Bull Sale is an exciting, must attend event on the spring sale run. The consistency and quality exhibited by three of the industry leading operations is commendable and truly has something to offer to everyone, no matter their operation or their location. Yearly, we see some of the many astute commercial cattle people and purebred operations look to the KMS Bull Sale to do their herd bull shopping and rightfully so. All 3 programs raise easy doing, high performing Simmental Beef Bulls that are proven to work. We look forward to seeing you at the Exhibition and hope you take this as your personal invitation to join us.

Kuntz Simmental Farm is coming off a prestigious award being the 2024 Purebred Simmental Breeder of the year and rightfully so. They annually supply some of the real elite Fullblood bulls we get to market each spring. The 2025 offering is no exception as it is extremely deep with power bulls backed by some of the real famous and productive cow families in the industry. This section also features the first calf crop by the $165,000 Barbarian herd bull that is sure to please. Their purebred bulls are a deep, thick, soggy set that need to be seen in person to be truly appreciated.

McIntosh Livestock was once again selected as the Supreme Champion Pen of Bulls over all breeds at the 2024 Canadian Western Agribition and all three of those bulls and their brothers sell! This is an impressive feat that shouldn’t be taken lightly as it is one of the toughest and deepest in completion events each year in North America. Their black bulls are as stacked as anywhere you will find with a power packed set of sons by No Limits. The Red offering of McIntosh Livestock is a diverse one with tonnes of power and calving ease options. Be sure to study them.

SAJ Simmentals is coming off a big time year with entering the well established Border City Simmental Sale last fall for the first time and selling high selling cattle in both the bred heifer and open heifer sections speaking to the quality of their beautiful cowherd. Their string of bulls is very complete and impressive to analyze with their deep red colour shown throughout all the red hided cattle. The Fullblood bulls are excitingly highlighted by the rookie calf crop from SAJ’s new herdsire, Cash 30K. The Purebred bulls represent a couple of proven walking bulls at SAJ as well as a few Embryo Transfer Bulls by some of the most sought after genetics in the breed.

All in all, its very exciting to see the consistency on offer from 3 different operations that have a similar goal and vision in mind, which is ultimately supplying the industry with the highest quality Simmental Bull they can. Fullblood, Black or Red there will be many options made available to you no matter what your objective with your new purchase is. Be sure to contact anyone from the Kuntz, McIntosh or SAJ programs to visit with them about their product on offer. We do encourage you to take in this great sale in the beautiful, heated sales facility at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds on SUNDAY March 9th. If your busy schedule is going to keep you away on sale day, the bulls will be available for viewing the couple days leading up to sale day, or if you wish, feel free to contact any of us listed from BMS and take advantage of our consultation and order buying services. We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards, The Bohrson Marketing Team

WIN A SALE CREDIT

I would like to take this

But more importantly, I would like to thank our valued customers for their continued support over the years. This has been an exciting year to be involved in the cattle industry and I hope you all have had the opportunity to capitalize on the record highs we have witnessed lately.

We are very proud of the set of bulls we have on offer this year as it may be the deepest offering we have raised. Whether you are in the market for powerful, high performance bulls, moderate framed easy calving bulls, or highly maternal cow makers, I feel there’s a bull here that will meet your needs.

The group of fullblood bulls are highlighted by a new sire group with a fresh pedigree. JNR Barbarian was an absolutely impressive bull that we tried our best to own. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful in that attempt but were lucky enough to purchase a package of semen. His calves did not disappoint. The group of reds consists of bulls that have a little extra length and frame, some moderated smooth made calving ease options along with some very balanced middle of the road type bulls that will work on any type of cow.

As always, we encourage you to stop in at the farm prior to the sale to tour the bulls. This way, you can also step into the pens beside and check out the cows that raise those bulls. Visitors at the farm are always welcome. If you are unable to make it to the farm before the sale, the bulls will be available for viewing inside the barns and under the lights in Lloydminster starting on Friday March 7th right through to sale time at 2:00 on Sunday March 9.

Please follow us on Facebook or check out www.kuntzsimmentals.com for videos and updates regarding the sale.

We are located approximately 40 km South west of Battleford off Highway #29. The coffee is always on and we’d love to tour you through our cattle. Otherwise, we look forward talking with you at the sale on Sunday March 9, 2025.

NON DILUTER Mahomes is super stout with a little extra rib shape to him. He has shown that expressive muscle and has had that presence to him right from the beginning. His dam, Twilight 07H is really starting to make a name for herself. A daughter of hers sold for $28,000 to Mark Land and Cattle at Border City Sale this past fall. Mahomes is a bull that I feel has a bright future ahead of him.

NON DILUTER Michigan is a bull that is easy to find in the pen. He is smooth made and has that extra length of spine that makes him stand out. 86H has matured into one of my favourite cows. She has perfect feet and has an excellent udder. Look for Michigan to add pay weight to his calves and his daughters should make awesome cows.

THREE FLUSHMATES OFF BARBARIAN & 517C

Barbarian is an exciting new sire for us. He has absolutely impressive overall muscle mass and power, he is soft sided and had a real presence to him. He probably has the best coat of hair I have seen in a Full Fleckvieh bull and has a complete outcross pedigree for us. After Jerry showed me Barbarian’s mother, I knew we needed to find a way to add his genetics to our herd. Thankfully we were able to secure a semen package on Barbarian and then this mating became my first priority. There aren’t many cows out there that consistently crank out herd bulls like 517C does and you can add these Barbarian sons to her list. They have that muscle mass, rib shape and power that we’ve come to expect from 517C as well as that cherry red color that she stamps her calves with. There’s not much left to say about 517C and her production history as there is quite a list purebred breeders that have owned one of her sons. These three bulls have their subtle differences but are all impressive in their own way, they are worth a look.

KUNTZ BARBELL 12M

Barbell is a real rugged, square hipped bull that I quite like. Last spring, this was one of the Barbarian calves that had me excited for this years bull sale. He is a embryo off the old 308A cow. I was really hoping for some heifers, but Barbell was the only calf we got from that flush. 308A has cranked out some herd bulls over the years including Denali to Maxwells, Shawshank to Boisvert Simmentals, and Kingpin to Jeff Sorenson in South Dakota. This is a bull that I feel has the potential to sire both exceptional bulls and heifers.

KUNTZ BARBAROO 21M

NON DILUTER

If you’re looking for a bull to add a bit of frame and stretch to your calves, 21M could be for you. We have a beautiful little full sister to 21M on the ground this spring that is perfectly marked with an awesome cherry red hair coat just like her mother.

KUNTZ MAJESTIC 15M

Majestic is the first calf off one of our up and coming young cows. We thought so highly of this pair last spring, that we elected to flush 252K before breeding her back. Majestic has lots of muscle expression, is early maturing and has that herd bull presence to him along with a nice polled head. He has a very similar pedigree to Kuntz North Star 15L, our high seller from last spring.

We liked him enough that we retained a few straws of semen on him and have since flushed his mother back the same way, those baby calves are looking very interesting. Mischief’s mother was a big topped, powerful cow that always stayed in good condition.

Here’s an interesting bull. Monte Carlo is a bull that really catches my eye. He’s not the biggest or most powerful bull in the pen but with a 76 lb birth weight, you don’t expect him to be. He’s just a super smooth made bull with a nice square hip and ample muscle shape. And if you like them dark red, I don’t think you can make one any darker without it being black. Monte Carlo is a bull that I would love to turn loose in our heifer pen. Eye appeal, low birth, strong cow family.

Lot 12 & 14 are the resulting bull calves from the Kuntz Miss Pol Moses 104J x Darwin flush. Both these bulls have that muscle shape that you would expect from Darwin and the style you would expect from 104J. This cow really made a name for herself within the Miss Moses cow family last spring when her first calf sold for $70,000 to LaBatte, Oberle, and Canadian Sires. These two polled bulls are quite impressive along with their polled sisters in the replacement pen that I can’t wait to get into production.

HOMO POLLED - NON DILUTER

We have a pair of Gronk sons on offer this year. He continues to be one of the most consistent red bulls we have used. He sires thick, easy doing bulls with tons of performance and his daughters make strong cows with excellent milk and udders that raise some of our top calves every year. Check out Lot 21 to see proof of that statement. Rob 3M is one of those typical Gronk sons, raised by the SVS Jenna cow that has done an excellent job for us.

This bull may be the most stylish bulls in the entire pen. He is good headed and has that proud front end that really catches your attention. He is deep ribbed, stout quartered and level hipped. Maxim is backed by an equally impressive cow and to top it off, she has a perfect udder. This guy should sire an impressive set of females and his sons will have some impressive weaning weights.

HOMO POLLED - NON DILUTER Here’s the red bull that I have been excited about since early summer. Mahogany began to rise above the rest at an early age. He possesses an impressive amount of muscle mass, is wide topped, and is soft through his middle third. He is an excellent headed bull and carries himself with that herdbull presence. Mahogany comes from a strong cow family, anchored by the CMS Graceland 610D cow from Czech-Mate. We had 011H and Mahogany on display this summer at the World Congress tour stop at Anchor D Ranch (Thanks Danny and Karen for your wonderful hospitality). Mahogany offers an outcross pedigree and has that hard to find, deep red color that we are all searching for. This is a bull we fully intend to retain some semen on to use in our herd.

Oklahoma is a soft made bull that’s easy to find in the bull pen. He is stout made with a ton of rib shape to him. When you add in that beautiful hair coat and his easy going disposition, Oklahoma is a bull that’s easy to like. Considering his mass and an adjusted yearling weight of over 1550 pounds, it’s hard to believe that he started out at just 72 pounds at birth. But when you check out his pedigree, it all makes sense. He’s a direct son off the calving ease specialists: Peacocks Lil Nettie 23Y and WS Epic. Full brothers have sold to Sande Cattle Co./Torbay Farms and Leer’s Ranching. We have several full sisters to Oklahoma in the herd that have been excellent cows, one being the dam of Lot 23.

KUNTZ MISSOULA 42M

Here’s a real strong calving ease prospect. Sired by our Sochi son who we have been using in our heifer pen for the past few years. His calves come easy with lots of vigour and they really take off and grow. The bottom side of his pedigree is stacked with more calving ease as his mother a full sister to Lot 22, an Epic off Peacocks Lil Nettie 23Y (Sheriff’s dam). Hawk 24M is super dark red, has exceptional testicle development, and comes with a “user friendly” birth weight.

Here’s the powerhouse bull of the pen. Hawkin set the pace with a 912 pound weaning weight and never looked back posting a 1787 pound adjusted yearling weight. He is a big bull that is wide topped, big bellied and stout. A full brother to Hawkin was the high performer of the pen last year too, but unfortunately wasn’t able to make it to the sale last year.

Mohican is another bull that is easy to like. He has a sharp looking head and carries it proudly. We really appreciate the job that Hawkeye has done for us. He sires high performance cattle with extra length, thickness, and style. His first daughters are calving now and they are going to make excellent cows. They are milking well with decent udders and nice small teats. A full brother sold to Tri-Star Cattle in last year’s sale.

KUNTZ MOONSHINER 41M

We would like to welcome you to the 26th Annual Kuntz/McIntosh/SAJ Bull Sale.

We feel this is a very complete group of Bulls, with a good mix of calving ease, highly maternal and power bulls to add value to your operation. We truly enjoy raising our family in this industry and spending time at cattle shows and sales watching the excitement in the Simmental breed. We seem to get busier every year though, with things around the farm and activities with family and perhaps don’t get a chance to show our appreciation and visit with all our customers the way we would like to. So a special thanks to everyone that has supported us at the past bull and female sales over the years. Without all of you we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this great industry!

Our bulls have been developed on a TMR ration. Our ration consists of cereal silage, chopped hay, brown oats and a BULLSEYE Feed bull supplement. All bulls have been double vaccinated with Fusogard to help in the prevention of foot rot. Also bulls have been double vaccinated with Bovi-Shield Gold One Shot and Ultrabac 7/Somubac. Bulls have been treated with Ivermectin and also received Safeguard crumbles in the fall. As well as a dose of Clean Up 2 in January.

We will work with you to get the bulls delivered as close to you as possible and in a time frame that works for both parties.

Keep an eye on our McIntosh Livestock Facebook Page as well as DLMS/Cattlevids for Videos late February. Sale Weights and scrotal measurements will be posted a few days prior to the sale.

We would like to invite all past present and future customers to come on out to the sale and also try to stop by the farm to preview the bulls and the cow herd any time. The bulls will be on display indoors from March 7-9th at the Lloydminster Exhibition grounds in Lloydminster SK. Don’t hesitate to call with any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone March 9th!

3M was a member of our popular 2024 Agribition pen of bulls. He is a powerful No Limits son with lots of length and desirable frame size. He comes from the Lexi/Sugar cow family which is our most prominent black cow family. His dam was Seth’s 4-H project in 2020 and she has become a consistent producer for Seth with 3M being the second son he’s sold out of her. Here is the only direct Lexi son that we have on offer this year. He is great haired and power packed with a ton of character. 436M was the anchor of the 2024 Supreme Pen and People’s choice pen of bulls at Agribition. Great set of EPD’s on this No Limits son only adds to his appeal. He’s no slouch when weigh day comes around weighing just shy of 1000lbs at weaning and pushing 1400lbs by the 27 of December. We are excited to calve out a few full sisters to 436M this winter, they are looking the part!

Fantastic hair coat on this guy, he really is a complete and good looking package. 475M is a bull that we are excited about! When you see him you will know why. With many of the traits that we look for in a herd sire right here in this bull. He’s the lead off here of four full embryo transfer brothers that are an impressive group. 89lb birthweight coupled with an adjusted yearling weight of 1482lbs, this No Limits son does a lot of things right. The donor dam for this flush was purchased from us as a heifer calf by the Holba family of Westhill Ranch. She has gone on to be a great producer for them and a beautiful cow. When the opportunity arose for us to split a flush on this cow we were all for it and have no regrets!

HOMO POLLED - HOMO BLACK

Dark Side was an in dam purchase for us, out of a very nice Yuma female that we purchased from Rusylvia Cattle Co. at Border City last year. We were excited when she had this sweet 87lb jet black baldy bull calf! Hannibal has become very well known and widely accepted for his calving ease, he’s been widely used on people’s first calvers with great success. Dark Side follows his sire in that respect being in the top 3% of the breed for calving ease and the top 10% for birth weight. Dark Side combines that calving ease with some power, he’s stout and big-bodied with a very appealing head-set.

A little more moderate framed No Limits son here from the Sugar cow family which we have talked about lots here today. 31M is a very thick ended individual with added center body and mass. He has been a favourite of quite a few visitors to the farm with his mellow, easy-doing type. Sugar 14J is a model, young, Dimension female with a beauty udder and she is on our radar to continue the Sugar legacy in a big way moving forward.

We purchased 225F as a heifer calf from the Quality Control sale in Ontario a few years back and she has developed into a great looking cow that we are sure to point out to visitors, she’s attractive headed and huge middled with a first class udder. Typical of the No Limits offspring he has a real presence about him with added look and attractiveness through that front third. A maternal brother sold through the bull sale last year to Brayden Bertoia at Baldwinton.

MCINTOSH BLACKTOP 51M

HOMO POLLED - HETERO BLACK

Wow! This ½ blood bull is a great looking, good performing option for the heifer pen. Coming into the world at a small but active 70 pounds, Blacktop never looked back. Posting a 16.6 calving ease and a -2.2 birth weight puts Blacktop in the top 1% for both categories. Blacktop comes from a strong cow family. With his maternal great grandmother being the cornerstone donor for the Arch Holdings program, and his maternal grandmother being a past Friday Night Lights highlight from ourselves and selling to Silvertop Simmentals. Maternal prowess runs deep in this guys pedigree!

MCINTOSH BP 56M

POLLED - HETERO BLACK

Another solid calving ease option here in this Boone Pickens son with his 83lb birth weight and +14.1 calving ease number. 56M is a solid built bull, quite thick over his top and fairly moderate in frame size. 56M travels smoothly on sound feet and legs. Out of a nice Bounty Hunter female that traces back to a good Sunny Valley cow we purchased out of Border City a few years back.

MCINTOSH KINETIC 61M

Kinetic 61M is a tank, super easy-doing with extra center body and rib shape. He’s sound moving and good footed. His dam Queen 8G was a past Red & Black purchase from the good folks at City View Simmental and each calf she has seems to be better than the last, she just keeps out producing herself each year. She is quite moderate in frame and the cross with Dimension really clicked here as he adds frame and grow. Kinetic should produce high quality offspring both male and female.

HOMO POLLED

MCINTOSH NO LIMITS 1M

Here is a very attractive red power bull sired by No Limits and out of a tidy uddered good footed Roosevelt female. We purchased 1M’s dam as a bred heifer in the Border City sale from the Rafter 4T program. With a very modest 80lb birthweight and a scale pushing actual weaning weight of 1025 in the beginning of September, he is a curve bender for sure. 1M has a ton of presence and look about him, he’s an easy one to find in the pen. 1M has a very useable pedigree for most red programs and being red hided out of a black sire brings some fresh genetics to the red side of things.

HOMO POLLED

Here is a deep sided and soggy looking dark red Bolster son who is one of the standouts in the Bolster sire group. Again, like the majority of the Bolster calves 70M has a moderate birth weight combined with good growth. Miss Red 43C is no stranger to raising the good ones she has put 3 sons through this sale, Classic who sold to JK Bar, Westman Farms, and Lewis Farms, Wolverine now calls North Creek Simmentals home, and Kingdom was purchased by High Country Cattle and Shelly Reich.

MCINTOSH BOOST 71M

HOMO POLLED

71M is a fan favourite on the red side this year. He’s one cool dude. He is slightly more refined in his skull shape than a lot of bulls and very proud through that front end. He’s not the biggest bull in the pen but he may be the most complete. Such a nice deep red colour he has with a beauty hair coat. Make sure you check out his video, he looks good on the move! His dam is a great, young Daredevil sired female and she is out of our Bootlegger donor cow Wish 33C. Her first calf, Amplify 45L, was a highlight in last year’s sale selling to Maureen and Eric Smith.

HOMO POLLED

Here is a bull with an interesting pedigree, with our own Mary Jane donor on the top side and the STF Trendy donor on the bottom side. 24M’s dam is a full sibling to the Royal 2023 Champion Simmental Bull and she is a maternal sibling to the Royal 2024 Champion Female. If you are into raising your own replacement females, 24M is worth a second look. Moderate 90lb birth weight on this guy with a 10.3 calving ease EPD and 2.4 birth weight EPD.

MCINTOSH BOOST 52M

16C

HOMO POLLED

A person really has to admire this Bolster sire group for the consistency throughout. They are dark red, they are good haired, they are modest in birth weight but they still have some frame and some growability. 52M combines our two main red donor cows with Mary Jane on the top side and Sassy on the bottom. The Sassy x Stratton flush was a good one, and from it we were lucky to get several females that are just hitting their stride in terms of production now. This guys dam is moderate framed with a highly desirable udder. 75lb birth weight here on 52M!

MCINTOSH BOOST 81M

HOMO POLLED

The final Bolster son we have on offer here and he is a full sibling in blood to the 52M bull as their dams are flush mate sisters. Again we have a beauty 80lb birth weight on this guy. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed calving out these Bolster calves last winter. Combining Epic and the Mary Jane family with the Sassy and LFE Amber family has created offspring with deep maternal power in the pedigree!

HOMO POLLED

With his incredible length of body and overall mass 21M really stands out from the crowd. Everyone knows that added length equals extra pounds and 21M is a testament to that, he was the top ranking bull for yearling weight in his group. His dam is a great producer out of Ken Gilbert’s Westgold operation and 21M patterns closely after her with her added length and power. We expect 21M to sire some incredible growthy steer calves that will wean off with some extra pounds.

HOMO POLLED

Radical is a blood-red, super hairy individual. We’ve used his sire Maverick with success in our heifer pen for a few years now, and when you look at Radical it’s not so hard to figure out why we like to use Maverick. They have some grow to them and some look, the bulls look like bulls and we like the females as well. Numbers wise, Radical reads well from a maternal standpoint being strong numbered in calving ease, birth weight, as well as maternal calving ease and stayability.

HOMO POLLED

Here is a stretchy Stratton bull that is the natural calf from our Mary Jane 10C donor. Typically when we think of Mary Jane, we think of all the productive females that carry the Mary Jane name; but everyone wants their herd sire to come from a great cow and you have that here in 84M. Typical of the Mary Jane style, this guy is dark red and hairy with some frame and he can get out and move. 84M will sire some really nice replacements and dark red feeder cattle that will grow.

MCINTOSH HOT IRON 92M

MARY JANE 2H

MARY JANE 10C

HOMO POLLED

Hot Iron is our only Ironclad sired bull in the sale this year and he’s one we like a lot. Yes, he’s our youngest bull on offer but you have to be a good one to make the cut when you are one of the younger ones and 92M checks a lot of boxes. Hot Iron carries a modest 84lb birth weight. He has a very nice set of EPD’s ranked in the top 20% or higher in calving ease, birth weight, weaning weight, yearling weight and maternal calving ease! On the bottom side of his pedigree again we see the Mary Janes and the Epic X Mary Jane cross produced really good functional females.

MCINTOSH BRETT 103L

HETERO POLLED

Brett is a big burly bull with a bit of extra age. He is big bodied and masculine with a powerful look to him. Again, modest birth weight of 83lbs, to an early September weaning weight over 1000lbs. This guy has a 15.6 calving ease number which is in the top 2% for that trait! 0.1 birth weight number (top 10%) and has an amazing 11.2 maternal calving ease number which is top 1% of the breed. So he should calve easily and his daughters should be problem free calvers as well.

Well this is interesting! Here is a Fullblood bull also with a little extra age, he’s a nice looking bull who ranks well in the maternal EPD’s. With his strong milk, maternal calving ease, and maternal weaning weight numbers. Benz is nicely marked with big double goggled eyes and minimal white on his legs. He comes from a tidy uddered two-year old that did a great job here with her first calf. We believe he will provide quality offspring both male and female.

full sister to dam

On behalf of myself and my kids, I would like to invite you to

the sale on March 9

We have brought a nice consistent set of bulls for you to look through this year. The fullbloods are highlighted by the first sons of RWR Cash 30K. He has exceeded my expectations and look forward to more from him. The reds are a solid group with more Mountainview sons, a few from my new Mappin bull and 3 embryo sons from the donor cow Hoop n Holler whom I own with Double bar D. My bulls have been double vaccinated with Fusogard for the prevention of foot rot. They have received two shots of Bovishield gold and vision 8 as well as Ivomec. Delivery will be available at agreed times and most often right to your farm. We thank all past customers and welcome anyone to come view the bulls and their mothers at the farm anytime

See you at the sale.

NON DILUTER

Leading off a consistent new exciting sire group for me this year is this Cash son. Cash was purchased with Roach Ranching farm from the Red Willow program as a feature bull that day. 50M comes from a strong uddered Willow second calver. These Willow daughters are milking well and will be heard from more. This bull is the darkest bull in the pen, has large testicles and is a bull I really like.

NON DILUTER

A Cash son here that has been fun to watch all year. Coming from a cow with a strong production record, I expected him to be near the top of the pen and he didn’t disappoint. A bull that will be an impressive looking mature bull. Past brothers have been sold to Northwind Ag, Robert Fenton and Sidehill Spring Farms.

Here is a meat wagon of a bull. A thick, deep sided bull that really resembles the Mogul grandsire in this pedigree. Coming from a Blueprint dam that has a really nice udder and did a good job on this bull.

SAJ CASH 59M

BETSY 64E

BETSY 515B

NON DILUTER

A bull from Cash that is a little different than the other Cash sons. More power and weight from this long bodied bull. He has extra length and when you see how smooth shouldered he is, you can accept that slightly heavier birthweight. His dam has really made a name for herself with her past two sons through the sale, have been my high sellers to the respected programs of Black Gold, Maxwell and Double RN. The 64E dam was flushed this past spring and I have a few full sibs to those two bulls which I am excited about.

A bull here that patterns really well with the 59M bull. Long bodied, deep red color and good performance is what you’ll expect in this high percentage Fleck bull. His dam is a cow that is working well and has a good future here.

NON

DILUTER

Another larger framed Cash son. Cash has put that dark red color on all his calves that we all like. This bull is a long bodied bull that I would want females from. His 45D dam has been a good cow for me and flushed successfully. She has put sons through this sale to Barry Saunders, Keith and Dallas Johnston and Reg Bellanger. This bull is closely related to the 50M bull that started my selection.

NON DILUTER

Benson is a bull I like, a large reason why is the dam that stood beside him all year. She is what I consider an ideal cow and one I’m sure to point out to visitors every time. Brothers sold through have gone to Red Willow, Keith and Dallas Johnston and Ryan Roach. 71M did come with a full white face but both sire and dam are loaded with pigment, and I expect him to sire calves like that. A bull I’ll be excited to hear how he matures out.

NON DILUTER

Clout is just another Cash son that sits in the strong group of sons here. Dark red, big goggles, good hair. It’s hard to write footnotes on all these sons because they really are consistent in quality. His dam has done well with this bull. Devan Hritzuk purchased her first calf in 2023.

SAJ COPPER 109M

Last spring I was looking at buying a small group of cows. This led me to Ontario and the good herd of Alliance Simmentals. Mike McCart has a really nice quiet herd of polled Fullblood and black Simmental cows. This bull and 12M were in that group of cows that came west in August. A polled Motown son who has a December birthday. He is a long bodied bull that has a young polled dam that raised him.

ALLIANCE FREEDOM FIGHTER 12M

Another polled bull from Mike. A hairy, dark red, deep sided bull that will do a good job for someone. If a quiet, good natured bull is important to you, he would be one of the first I would steer you to. With these polled cows and the upcoming polled heifer calves, you can expect to see a bigger selection of polled fullblood bulls from me soon.

SAJ LUNKER 27M

NON DILUTOR

Leading off my group of red bulls comes this big, dark red Mountain View son. His full brother, last year, was a highlight of my group selling to Phillip Howard of Vermilion. 27M is similar in type and a bull I’m happy to bring to town. These Mountain View bulls I really like with their added performance and frame.

SAJ JULIAN 30M

HETERO POLLED - NON DILUTOR

One of the heavier weaning weights came from this big framed blazed Mountain View bull. His 61F dam has really clicked with this mating. With last year’s full brother selling to the Redlichs of Biggar. She also has a full brother for next year’s sale. If you need a little extra grow in your calves I would mark this bull down.

SAJ AVALANCHE 62M

HOMO POLLED - NON DILUTOR

Another good Mountain View son here that has that extra dark red, length of body and is homo polled. His 82D dam has been a cornerstone in my red program with bulls selling to Redlichs, KJ Larre and Kelsey Locke. A female was also a feature bred heifer selling to Tim McVicar’s good program. A bull that should work on a good variety of cows.

WFL MOUNTAIN VIEW 4J sire

SAJ STRIDE 38M

A heifer’s first calf is 38M and what a job she did. His sire from Ashworths has been a mainstay in the heifer pen and will get a large group of cows this spring. 38M is a big testicled, deep red bull that will add some calving ease without sacrificing performance. He weaned off his young dam at 900 lbs. in early September.

A half brother to the 38M bull and once again out of a heifer. It takes a good calf from a first calver to make the bull pen and 40M made it. He grew well too and weaned off his young mom at 910 lbs. in early September. Have a look here.

SAJ BLINDSIDE 60M

Lot

60M comes from a new bull here, purchased from Silver Smith Farms. The depth of body and rib shape this bull has put into his first group of calves is really impressive. A hairy, dark red, deep sided bull that comes from a tidy uddered young cow that goes back to one of the strongest cow families here. The 333A cow is still here and is doing well.

HOMO POLLED NON DILUTER

The next 3 bulls listed all stem from a good red donor cow that Double Bar D Farms and myself purchased out of the Quinn Wilson dispersal. We flushed her many different ways so these 4 bulls are here at the sale. 16M is sired by the Loyalty bull from Lewis who is a popular A.I. sire. A full sister to this bull would rank at the very top of my replacement heifers.

HOMO POLLED - NON DILUTER

This would be my calving ease option in my string of bulls. Sired by the Lawmaker bull that has done very well in the breed. 55M is a smooth shouldered, low birthweight bull that I think could work in a heifer pen.

HOMO POLLED - NON DILUTER

This Hoop son is an interesting bull. He is a compact meat machine. 61M won’t be the biggest bull at the sale by any means but he is just a good bull. Thick, deep and that Mountain View color is what he is all about. A bull that possibly could work on larger heifers but would excel on a group of second calvers.

WSF HOOP N HOLLAR dam

HOMO POLLED - HETERO BLACK

My lone black bull for the sale this year but one that is standing in well in my group. He’s a bull that has that extreme rib shape that the sire has thrown into his calves. Coming from a tidied udder, hairy cow that raised a good red bull for the Usborne Grazing Group, you can expect this bull to sire a good group of replacement females.
