We will do our best to door step deliver each bull, however we can only guarantee delivery to central points in MB, SK, AB, and SW Ont. We will coordinate trucking where/when it is needed and make sure your purchases arrive in a safe and timely matter.

Free of Charge until May 15th, $2.50/day after May 15th, unless prior arrangements to sale day are made with Kolton. All bulls staying at the ranch after sale day MUST BE INSURED.

Welcome to the 4th Annual McIntosh Ranch Bull and Female Sale. What a year in the cattle industry! It is great to see farmers and ranchers getting rewarded for all their hard work. We are proud to present this offering of bulls and females to you; we are very proud and excited about this pen of bulls. In both the Simmental and Angus offering, we have bulls that will work for many types of programs. We are excited about our new Angus herd sire we acquired, PDAR 712K, he continues to impress us with his calving ease, progeny growth and overall performance. Be sure to check out our first set of sons in this year’s sale. We have three heifers right from the heart of our replacement pen on offer again this year.
2024 in the Interlake was a pretty common year. Our cow herd went to grass towards the end of May and first part of June. Before pasture turn out, all calves received their first shot of Bovi gold One Shot and Ultrabac 7. Pairs grassed native pasture all summer. We weaned our bulls mid Sept and all bulls were given a booster vaccine and started on a dry forage based diet with oats and ddgs for supplement. As the fall and winter progressed we transitioned our bulls to TMR forage based ration. Once again we would like to continue to develop the bulls for our customers until their bulls are delivered.

1. Click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after close time will extend the sale by the time listed on each sale. In Most cases the time gets shorter the longer in to extended bidding the sale is. When no bidding occurs for the extended time the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Following the sale the McIntosh Ranch will invoice all buyers in the sale, please contact the seller with questions or to arrange delivery, pick up or shipping of your purchases.

When I found 2 straws of IPU Bentley in the tank spring of 2023, it was a no brainer who I was going to use one of them on. 4C gave us a rip of a Bentley bull in 2021. Heifer Bull Deluxe should be the name on 409M. Highlife is a bull we continue to use and appreciate for his calving ease and progeny marketability. 409M is out of a first calf LFE Riddler female who has the perfect udder, moderate framed and super correct. Fertility is high as she calved less then 365 days apart. She again has a very attractive bull calf at foot for 2025. Make sure you take the time to look at 409M in your bull pen tour. LVVF Tanker was a wise choice to use in our AI program. Tanker calves come short gestation, moderate birth and an have an abundance of growth. 406M is a wide based, soft sided, attractive bull with lots of rib shape and top. These Tankers are so similar I feel like I am going to repeat myself over and over again. Super sound, soft sided, great footed, tons of muscle and hair. If your running numbers and bull shopping volume, take advantage of our volume discount and breed some cows to half brothers. I can only imagine the set of black hided steers these Tanker brothers will sire.
If you like your cattle bigger framed with some punch, you will want to add 422M to your bull battery. 422M is another Tanker calf out of a really picture perfect cow who works hard. 422M is a larger framed bull, that still has depth and muscle to go with the package. Sleep at night heifer bull with punch and grow. This is the first son we will offer off our new herd sire Peak Dot Absolute 712K. 471M is chunk of a calf. Out of a beautiful Musgrave Colossal first calf heifer, who did a rip of a job for her first time. 240K is a tremendous footed cow and a super easy doing type.

When the Black Meadow Herd Dispersal was announced in 2023 we knew we needed some of Bill’s genetics and a gooseneck load of females made their way to McIntosh Ranch. 8 cows resulted in 7 heifers and 1 bull. 481M is a direct son off the Young Dale Edan Bull that Bill thought quite high of. 481M has a huge barrel and lots of red meat. His mother 617G was Ray and Barb’s pick of the day. We bought 617Gs Dam 806A that day as well and she has now entered our donor program. 481M is just what we were hoping that the Black Meadows cows would produce for us.

I look forward to the future, marketing bulls along side Kolton and his family. I run a herd of purebred Simmental, and commercial Simmental X Angus cows just south east of Portage La Prairie. Our only Angus female on offer this year out of one of the females from the Black Meadows Dispersal. Her dam is a bigger framed cow that has a nice udder. Sired by a Musgrave Sky High son, MR 487M is an attractive fronted correct made female with an exceptional hair coat. Her dam 120G did good things for the Black Meadow herd and she’s continuing to work here for our program.

Vince and his family run a tremendous cow herd consisting of 300 cows a few miles south of Morden. Vince purchased his first bull from us a few years ago when we sold all our bulls privately out of the yard. He has continued to invest in top bulls from our pen over the years. The Fehrs finish all their own calves with that being said quality genetics are always a must as they need to ensure performance right through from start to finish. Vince selected 2 pens of heifers he feels represents his program to the fullest! These heifers are big hipped, hairy heifers off of beautiful angusX cows.
