4052 is the only purebred simm we have on offer this year but boy is she a good one. 4052 is the result of some embryos we purchased in the Spring Creek Dispersal. We also have a couple standout full brothers that are quick to get picked out on tours. This was a very consistent flush both sexes. The Walk the Line bull created a huge amount of noise the last couple years and we can certainly see why watching this hfr and her brothers develop here this summer. Stout made and big ribbed with good length. Excellent balance in this red hfr. I wish we had a few more purebreds to put in with her here but we just didn’t get them this year as most were bulls. We started an upgrade program here a couple years ago to create some different genetics for our simm herd. These are true F1 simm/angus out of purebred angus cows and top quality simmental herdbulls and are registered as foundation females in the Canadian Simmental Association. So the progeny from these good half bloods will be registerable as well. The Potent bull was purchased from Barry Labatte and was a lead off and high selling red bull that year. He is a maternal brother to the great IPU Lieutenant 24E bull. Awesome producing cow behind this bull. His first calf crop here is impressive. Consistent and growthy and stout. Both sexes. 4030 is a beauty, super headed and extended, lots of dimension and the Potent daughters look like they will have beautiful udders. Strong maternal and strong growth in these females. Awesome structure and bone in these Potent calves. Her dam 8G is a beautiful registered angus cow with big rib and big hip. I think you could hang a halter on these Potent daughters and look pretty smart in the other breeds classes and % classes at these jackpot shows next summer. Have a good look at these Potent calves.

These will make great 4-H or junior projects and then go on to be exceptional cows for their new owners. Grab hold here and have some fun next summer.
Another real sharp Potent ½ blood hfr here with exceptional length and hip. I love the balance and the shape these Potent cattle have. Again out of a good registered angus cow. We took about half of our angus herd and bred them for half bloods. SELLING CHOICE LOTS 20 & 21: We feel this is an exciting pair of calves to start off our hfr calf section this year. This is a pair of females that we really should be holding onto but we commit some of our best to this sale every year, so here they are. As far as I know these will be the first progeny of the $85000 Ellingson Brickhouse to sell in Canada, and from what we have seen here you will be wanting to be one of the first in Canada to own one. We are offering choice on this pair of beautiful full sib ET Brickhouse daughters out of our Dusty’s Countess 31H donor. I’ve been excited about the 31H cow since the day she was born and she has certainly not disappointed at any stage yet. She was a popular high seller and feature in our first female sale and we retained a embryo interest in her. She is everything we want in our angus cows, beautifully constructed, huge middled, easy keeping and backed by the multi time Supreme winner Countess 7077. Her progeny of both sexes are impressive so far and a couple full sib bull calves to these Brickhouse daughters are highlights in their pasture as well and you will want to check them out this spring. The 4016 calf is impressive with her overall dimension and softness. Beautifully constructed and great headed, she really catches your eye right away. Both these daughters really resemble their powerhouse dam at the same age. The 4029 calf is equally as impressive when you analyse her. She has the same overall dimension and softness her sister has with that same great profile to her and impressive front third with that patented Countess head and ear set. Both of these females are very well balanced and sound and just have a real productive look to them. Proven production greatness and donor power stacked up line after line on both sides of their pedigrees with some of the most well known and influential cows and cow families from both sides of the border showing up there. Good luck deciding which one you want, but we will be very happy to take whichever one is left home.
SELLING CHOICE LOTS 22 & 23: This is another exciting pair of females that we should be retaining. Again we are offering choice on this pair of full sib ET calves by Dusty’s Countess 31H that will really catch your eye. Sired by the female maker Rainfall this pair really exhibit the sharp fronted, big middled, square hipped cattle he is known for producing. I can’t say enough good things about the 31H cow and how she has impressed us at every stage of her life. She will be an anchor in our program for years to come hopefully. The 4017 female is the slightly bigger of the two with exceptional length and a killer look to her. Big ribbed and angular with that great Countess 7077 influence showing up in that head and ear set. Both of these fancy females have that “ show me” look to them. The 4041 female is a little younger and a bit more moderate in her design but equally as impressive with her big sweeping rib shape, square hip, and killer profile. Both of these females will be easy to find in the pen sale day. Again great cows and cow families stacked up on both sides of their pedigrees. Either way you choose to go here we will love to see the other one walking our pens this winter.

Another female here that will hurt to part with sired by the $85000 Brickhouse bull. 4019 has a great look to her with beautiful overall balance and that big middle and hip on her. Her dam is another one of those great producing Natural Law daughters and one of my personal favorites in the herd. She was an ET out of the great Rosebud 103Y donor and to me she resembles her dam in a lot of ways. Certainly a cow that gets picked out on tours every time. 4019 on paper is also impressive with maternal greatness and donor power stacked up on both sides. We are big believers in cow families and stacking that power up where we can. The combination of the Rosebud cow family and the Bells Girl cow family in 4019 could be a very potent breeding tool. This is a female we think you could hang a halter on if you choose and that we feel has the backing to go on and be a great producer for her new owners.

4037 is the result of some embryos we purchased from the powerful Brooking Beauty 8062 donor. The results certainly did not disappoint as we have a couple full brothers walking the pastures here as well that are looking good. 4037 is a bit bigger framed hfr but definitely does not give anything up in the performance department. She is long and deep sided with a great maternal look to her. The 8062 cow has produced several high sellers for the Brooking crew and her embryos continue to bring top dollar. Pretty cool package here on paper too. Bit outcross, bit proven genetics.
4007 is the only Badlands hfr we are offering this year. She is a calving ease combination of the $80000 Ellingson Badlands bull and a daughter of our $50000 Defiance herdbull. Both are exceptional for calving and the Defiance bull is a real foot and leg improver. 4007 is a pretty cool package with a striking look, extended front end and huge rib shape. She possesses so much muscle expression and dimension, combined with a big square hip. Not things you find on many calving ease oriented females. Pretty interesting package here.
4061 is the first daughter we have offered from Dusty’s Trust 2013, a herdbull we raised and own with Hilltop Cattle Co. His dam 38E is a powerful cow from the Pollyanna cow family who we have flushed in the past. The 2013 bull combines calving ease and growth and his progeny in his first calf crop here have been very consistent, starting small and catching up nicely. The Peak Dot Trust calves we have had here have a similar growth pattern and they just continue to get better and better as they get some age on them. 2013 looks to be that same kind of sire. 4061 is very balanced and structurally correct with great hair coming. Not extreme in any way and has a real soft maternal look to her. The 2013 daughters should be productive and stout as they mature. Take a good look at these 2013 daughters.

Jackson has a love for his Angus cattle and we are encouraging him to follow his dreams especially when they involve Agriculture. 1M was purchased in Dam from Dusty Rose in The Fall Showcase 2023 edition. He hit a homerun on the first calf. This Ellingson Badlands daughter is big, and extended with lots of style and plenty of rib and muscle for her size. This one is Jackson’s favorite and was tough to convince him to let her go.
Angelina 5M is the more moderate framed heifer of the pair but you’ll love her look. A Brooking National 0144 daughter out of a real nice Defiance Daughter that gets noticed every time someone tours the pasture here. She’s near perfect in her build with that rib swoop and depth we are all looking for combined with a perfect back leg and foot. This one has the right look through her front end and is stout enough to compete, either this fall or next summer. We hope you like her as much as we do.

Chloe 2017K is a direct daughter of the great Lawson’s Chloe C815 who’s progeny have been highlighting sales all over North America the last few years. Her sire Grand Canyon is impressive in person with incredible length and mass. This mating represents one of the newest and freshest genetic combinations we have to offer. Another exciting mating from the Chloe 2017K donor with a up and coming and exclusive sire that was successfully shown at Agribition last year and is owned by the Hogberg family. Redemption caught our eye in the stalls there and we went and saw the bull this spring at Hogberg’s. Redemption semen was only offered in very limited quantity this spring and we were able to purchase a few exclusive straws for flushing. Redemption has already qualified for the Agribition Supreme show in 2024. We feel this mating should really compliment each other as both parents are so sound made and solid footed. Both are deep sided, big ribbed, and square hipped. Interesting combination of some outcross genetics here with proven cow families and proven production backing them up. This is a mating that should result in some outstanding progeny.

This combination with Renovation has produced a moderate, deep middled female that looks to be laying down a beautiful udder as you would expect. A full sib last year was one of our sale highlights and high sellers. The Countess 7077 cow certainly needs no introduction as she has written quite a story for herself the last several years producing many high sellers, show winners, and with several of her daughters now working as donors in their respective herds and starting to write their own success stories. 3014 has that patented 7077 look to her with that beautiful head and front end and that big rib shape. Anytime you have a chance to grab hold of one of these 7077 daughters take advantage and get it done.

Her dam is a beautifully made Natural Law daughter out of the great Rosebud 103Y cow. 3074’s sire 84J is a herdbull we purchased from Perrot’s who is a Franchise out of one of Anna’s powerful Angus Beef cows I’ve always admired.
