YOU’LL FEEL GREEK WHEN YOU’RE AT SOFIA’S

the stil an american gelato bistro

The STIL, an acronym for The Sweetest Things In Life, was created with the goal of connecting people to the sweetest things in their lives and celebrating life's sweetest moments through the shared experience of delicious dessert.

Our friendly staff and cool artistic atmosphere will delight you while dining in. We also have take-out, online-ordering and catering options.

DELICIOUS FRESH INGREDIENTS We use the highest quality ingredients and prepare our food fresh to order. Our popular lemon rice bowls can be loaded with onion, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms and kale.

LOCALLY OWNED IN GARDEN CITY

In the fall of 2016, Dan Sell casually asked Kasey Allen where he could take his kids for Boise’s favorite ice cream. Dan was longing for a place that reminded him of his childhood days spent eating ice cream with his family and friends at their favorite local spots throughout his home state of Ohio. Kasey, a native Boisean, didn’t have an answer. He couldn't think of a Boise ice cream shop that was uniquely Boise's, focused on local ingredients, creative flavors, and high quality products with an emphasis on service, experience, and atmosphere. The two joked to each other, “Well maybe we should create one!” That joke turned into a serious idea with the purchase of a $400 countertop ice cream maker. Experiments in Dan’s kitchen immediately began. The concept came together - an ice cream shop meets brewery environment with unique, creative ice cream flavors spanning custom ice cream, vegan & dairy free choices, and boozeinfused creations. Beer, wine, and espresso pairing, floats, and flights would add an extra layer of flair. The STIL would be a place for the community to share in life's sweetest pleasures and connect with one another. In July of 2017, The STIL opened its doors to the public. Since that day, The STIL has become a popular destination for Boiseans and visitors alike, garnering national media attention, a “Best of Boise - Best Dessert” award, and hundreds of 5-Star reviews. 786 W. BANANA ink has been making Idaho-inspired designs for 8 years.

OFTEN IMITATED, NEVER MATCHED All things Idaho from BANANA ink ALEXANDRIA VAN NESS The folks at BANANA ink have been blazing the trail of all things Idaho since they first started making tees in 2011. Idaho lovers have praised them for their creativity in taking the state shape of Idaho and incorporating it into every design they make, from a pint of beer being poured into the shape to their most recent creation, a forest of trees making the beloved state shape. Their Idaho “shooting out the pine tree” design has quickly become iconic. The general manager and co-owner, Makenzie Stephen, remarked that “its popularity is really because it can be viewed or interpreted from a wide range of perspectives. We like that it is open to different views.” She went on to say that the best interpretation they had heard from a fan and wearer was “Idaho is loaded with trees.” BANANA ink has been a part of the downtown Boise scene for 5 years and expanded to their current location on 9th street over 3 years ago. Stephen let us know what the larger space meant for them and their future vision, “one of the things we care about most,” said Stephen, “is getting to promote local artists and makers in our community. The bigger location gave us the ability to share the space with other artists like ourselves and help to bring all our work to Boise locals and visitors.” In addition to their downtown location, the folks at BANANA ink love to participate in what’s happening around town and in the Treasure Valley. You can find them regularly at events like Alive After 5 and Hyde Park Street Fair. Idaho gifts, apparel and accessories have definitely become more and more popular since the folks at BANANA ink first started but they have remained true to their passion and root of it all: the love of the state and wearing that love almost literally “on their sleeve”. Find them online or pop in their shop and say hi! BANANA ink 214 N. 9th St. BOISE WEEKLY.COM

R obert Comstock creations are inspired by the designer’s global expeditions and adventure travels and his career-long, worldwide conservation efforts in third-world countries. All three provide remarkable experiences that profoundly influence his life, work, and success, and the fact that he personally designs and hand-signs and numbers each garment is unique to the industry. Sourcing and production are worldwide, and distribution focuses on high-end specialty stores and their clientele, with many of whom Robert shares personal ties. For 40 years, his styles have become their collector’s items. Personal adventures in the arctic, neo-tropics, high deserts and savannahs make Robert Comstock a distinctly original designer and his creations often one-of-a-kind, while the sourcing and production of his apparel in Italy’s preeminent mills, tanneries and contemporary, high-tech factories distinguishes, insures and protects the quality, integrity, and value of the inimitable Robert Comstock brand.
