Is your first language something other than English?

Do you need to improve your English for life and work? Apply for our ESOL course for residents of all ages and improve your: • Speaking • Listening • Reading • Writing Our highly-skilled teachers will help develop your English, maths, digital and IT skills. Learn how to: • Give and understand instructions. • Talk to and understand work colleagues and neighbours. • Write and type notes, descriptions, letters, emails, narrative and reports. • Apply for jobs and succeed in job interviews. • Read and understand posters, adverts, emails instructions, articles and books. • Use English grammar accurately to progress at work. On completion, you’ll have an accredited ESOL qualification and you could progress to other courses, including GCSE English.

PLEASE NOTE: DEMAND FOR ESOL CLASSES IN BOLTON IS HIGH AND THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR CLASSES.

Learners who are able to study at the following times will be fast tracked for places: • Saturday mornings • Monday to Friday, 2.30pm-6pm

When you enrol

ESOL students must bring the following to enrolment: • ARC Card or Local Authority confirmation (for learners aged 16-18 or 19+ if in care of local authority). • Home Office documentation or Endorsed Passport (also Marriage/Civil Certificate/Birth Certificate if a dependent). • ARC Card dated within six months and post office receipt of support, dated within the month (19+). • Evidence of benefits eg.
