Bolton College performing arts students star alongside Bolton Wanderers’ legend Tony Kelly in a new music video. Lewis Magee, Kiyra Green and Harry Dobson were chosen by performing arts tutor Kyle Cambray to star in the new video. The finished film will accompany the Solomon Grey track ‘See You There’ which has been remixed by London-based music producer and remixer, Hectic. Star Paddy McGuinness has called the premise of the video ‘belting’ and the story was also covered in the Bolton News here. Click here to read the Bolton News story.

Did fame last, or did they sink into obscurity?
The Suite Life on Deck Since the show finished in 2008, twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse have took very different paths…Cole stars as Jughead Jones in ‘Riverdale,’ whilst Dylan has opened his own beer brewing company.
The Wizards of Waverly Place Selena Gomez starred as wizardly wonder Alex. Since the show ended, Selena’s been busy! She dated Justin Bieber, has her own singing career, and has undergone a kidney transplant!
Austin & Ally We’re guessing Ross Lynch, who starred as Austin, didn’t want to get typecast; he went on to play serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the Netflix movie, ‘My Friend Dahmer’.
Dog with a Blog G Hannelius, who played Avery Jennings, is now a YouTube star, with 43K subscribers to her nail-art channel. Click here to watch

No SMALL thing Bolton College students have taken time out of the classroom to watch ‘The Little Things,’ a play about mental health, written by Dramatically Healthy in conjunction with The Octagon Theatre. The College’s Performing Arts Level 3 students starred in the production, staged in the College’s 100-seat theatre. Over a run of 32 performances, hundreds of students followed Mark, who feels increasingly stressed by the pressures of life. DVD characters then educate him about the ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing,’ Connect, Be active, Take notice, Learn and Give. To view all the photos click here.

Mythbuster There are lots of misconceptions about various course subjects and careers. We're here to uncover the truth about these myths and set the record straight. Let’s take a look at Motor Vehicle Technicians, commonly known as Mechanics… a. Car work is dirty. BUSTED! As technology evolves, mechanics is increasingly about electronic diagnostic work. Think computers rather than wrenches. b. Mechanics aren't paid well. BUSTED! Experienced Mechanics can earn up to £35K per year. c. Working with cars means working in a garage BUSTED! From car production to scrapping, there are a variety of job roles in the automotive industry. You could even progress to a career in Formula 1 with a course at the University of Bolton's £13 million National Centre for Motorsport Engineering. Move over Lewis Hamilton! d. It's only for the boys. BUSTED! Of course girls can be Mechanics. Just ask Rebekah Scott. Rebekah studied Motor Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 at Bolton College and says...
‘I'm doing a Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship next, then I'd like to work for the AA or the RAC.’

Revising for your GCSEs can seem like a daunting task, but follow these revision tips, and you’ll soon be a revision whiz.
Get organised
Don’t worry
Reward yourself
A revision timetable is a must. There are loads available for free online, or you can download one here. Click here for timetable.
If you’re stressed about exams, speak to someone. Parents, teachers, siblings - they’ve all been there and even if they don’t have the answers, a problem shared is a problem halved.
Done a day of revision? Treat yourself, whether it’s that movie all your mates have been talking about or that Maccy Ds you’ve been craving.
Sleep
Try your best
Poor sleep will affect your exam performance - you can only perform to the best of your ability if you’re alert and AWAKE!
Nobody’s perfect. If you know that you’ve tried your very best, then you’re already a winner.
Avoid burn-out Breaks are important too - go for a walk, enjoy your favourite TV show, chat with friends. You’ll return to your revision refreshed and focused.
Study the hardest subjects irst Get the challenging subjects out of the way first thing, when you’re more alert. Save the easier ones for the end of the day.
