RHIANNA LOVEGROVE Bachelor of Psychological Science / Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) student “I chose to Study the Bachelor of Psychological Science and the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at Bond University to channel my unique life experience, mentoring skills, and love for biological science to make positive changes in people’s lives. My experiences at Bond University continue to challenge me to be the best version of myself, both as a scholar, and an everyday person. Within the classroom, I have become equipped with a scientific awareness of the theoretical grounding of Psychology but have also had the opportunity to nurture my ability to be a critical, innovative thinker - skills that will be forever valuable in any career I wish to pursue. The content within Psychology at Bond stimulates the curious mind. From philosophical discussion, to empirical statistical analysis, to clinical skill development, to participating in real research – Bond University offers a holistic experience that helps students find their niche. At Bond, you learn from the best – with classes being delivered by various professionals in industry, often with a large research or clinical practising background. Every staff member offers personalised, supportive assistance; something that has encouraged me to excel throughout my fast-tracked undergraduate degree – resulting in receiving valedictorian of my graduating cohort. There is a reason why Bond University consistently establishes itself as the best university for student experience. Outside of the classroom, the atmosphere is unique; combining elements of camaraderie and fun, whilst still maintaining a sense of professionalism which allows every student to embark on a journey of personal growth that extends far beyond studying for assignments and exams. As a budding psychologist, opportunities to explore your career are often scarce. I must note, however, that this has not been the case at Bond University – having had the opportunity to attend educational conferences through the Bond Psychological Society, engage with research assistant work, support mentoring, and conduct applied behavioural analysis through NDIS funded initiatives for children with Autism. My experience at Bond University has indeed provided me with a scientific understanding and a skill set that can be applied in various aspects of life - be it Business, sports, relationships, childcare or corporate organisations! Understanding why people think and behave the way they do is a fascinating question that Bond Psychology students continue to investigate”.

NATALIE ECKBERG Master of Psychology (Clinical) student “When I started studying at Bond, I soon realised that my experience would be unique, challenging, and incredibly valuable. I found that studying at Bond allowed me to learn from an incredibly vast range of professionals in the field who each continually encouraged and challenged me to think critically and were willing to share their knowledge in an interactive and engaging environment. The Master of Psychology (Clinical) program stood out to me because of the range of experiences that were on offer throughout the program. Not one week is the same and I feel as though this degree was the most challenging and rewarding experience I have encountered in my education so far. The small class sizes also made the learning experience interactive and I have made some lifelong friends with the classmates I have met along the way. Being a Bond student also includes access to a range of facilities. Having access to the library and its resources really increased my motivation during challenging times of my degree. The resources available to students are constantly being updated and improved to facilitate an inspirational learning environment. If I ever encountered difficulties during my studies, my academics or any Bond support staff were more than willing to help, which really stands out when I reflect on my experience at Bond.”
